Surrendering to the Climate

It did come to be colder here and I don't think we are going back as this is that time where we are in for the cold period. I have never been much for the cold weather and I know it's only going to get colder but this is the time where you place on the furnase.

Canadian winters pending on where you are they are times where one does wrap up. So it shall be a time of which is abiding to the cold and keeping it all warm. I can't honestly say that I love this time or period within the weather but one just has to accept it. I despise looking for the right things to wear but that all goes within the element of living within Canada some take it better than others but I do look forward to a few months from now where four months are over and done with.

The main thing is within keeping warm as well to those which have seen my posts as they are predominantly within a music element - I have been tired of this cold already and there is a lengthy stretch ahead.

The cold and how it comes and how one has to make that shift from warmer days to cold days and cold is just cold. When you have to head out early a scrape off the ice oh this is something which is just not my fancy. But we all do it and it's the way of life and one thing for sure is that I am not going to ruin my camera over all this thus I may place more time on youtubes and emails. But there is no romance within the cold.

I guess it would be an adjustment and I am adjusting with it. Again. There are different parts of Canada which are much warmer and here we have been spoiled as we have had a great autumn.

I honestly don't know much of what to say within here as I think that most all are or have waivered into other areas and all I can say is when you see one running in - 30 that is one which is beyond the norm. The own that does aspire to kindle the best where others would never even attempt in doing.

This is where music is really the key along with the furnace as it's not - 30 yet but you can feel it slowly coming. My first language (mother tongue is english) yet this is where I say, C'est la Vie.

  9. Mike it is that time to keep things on the up and up and that is mostly why I just don't get to
involved yet at a certain time it's good to head to bed and watch the old screen and enjoy.
Peace back to you there Mike.

  12. Jack, I too HATE winter here in New York. I'm not a fan of cold weather. The snow is pretty, but not to drive in. Are the Canadian winters much different than those from your days in Upstate New York?

  13. Right now I would say yeah. This would be the temperture as of today of what would be considered cold Tess it's all depends where in Canada a person is. You may go down to minus 10 at the worst yet here it's a way of life within the winter so we are grooving into it....as the last two days have been cold there is no doubt that we have had what most consider winter but here is an example if I may. :)

The pic speak for itself :)

Not yet but something to look forward too :)

  14. During the dead of winter, we go down to -20F. Our nights have been getting to the freezing point, 32F, and we might see our first snow flurries by the end of the week. Stay warm Jack. Think it's gonna be a long winter.

  15. I was in Cyprus one November. The ladies who lived there were wearing fur coats or leather ones, while I was comfortable with a light jacket. It's all in what one is used to as the seasons change. It is a beautiful island.

  16. The nights and mornings have turned cold here too Jack. We got our first frost yesterday morning and we will be getting it again tonight. I went out and put a blanket on some of my cucumbers that are still blooming and producing some small cucumbers...I hope it protects them for another few weeks at least....maybe by then they will be big enough to pick and eat.

    Bundle up and stay warm.

Yet I know what you mean with what to eat. The heresay always is that it's great here despite............winter. :)

  25. We enjoyed our last day of Indian Summer today with temps soaring to 77 degrees. Unfortunately we'll experience a drastic drop in temps tonight into the 30's with a high in the low 50's tomorrow. Back to normal. The cold weather will come our way soon enough, but actually I don't mind the cold air at all. Prefer it over the heat and humidity......so now, bundle up and keep warm!

  28. Getting much chillier here too, but I love living where we have four seasons. Each season has its own magic and beauty ... seeing the colors change, watching snowflakes fall, inhaling the freshness of spring or walking in the shade of a sunny summer day, all of this delights me. Have a wonder filled day Jack....and stay warm. :-D
