“Life is one fool thing after another whereas love is two fool things after each other.” - Oscar Wilde But we are foolish Oscar did have something though. :)

  1. Smart man he was in his young years as at the age of 24 I believe who would have thought that someone would have the depth and understanding. "Fool on The Hill" was a tad of McCartney writing but there was much more to this song as he was indicating (my opinion) of the value of looking at the whole sphere and how this one man "alone on a hill, with the foolish grin" actually had a tremendous grasp on that of what he saw.

  2. i love the sounds and the lyrics of that ' The fool on the Hill' am some kind of that too, i guess so to every -one- naw ... can i have an honest laugh there ... :)

  4. No one is a fool - no one I am trying to work this but Maritess no one is a fool I would think there are more
of which are inclinded to you and it was just a song by Paul. He just got married himself for the 3rd time. So...:)

  5. Jack i know it's just a song and your in your happiest self again. Am sure of that each time you placed a song ...

And he got married yep, again. :) - what can i say to that.

  8. But then there is the funny side of a band by the Rutles which wrote a song
called Number One............I have my own version as a kid. :)

George Harrison financed them as it was all in humour.

  9. Yeah but Paul is much older now and we are within new times and a new era.
The Sheepdogs from right here made the head of the rolling stone magazine and I
know whom recorded them...but I think we hold onto what we like and I luv alot of music.
Outside of Aikido it was the one realm if I may say I did love and well I am not going to say
what is comin up but I will say I love all kinds of music. But the Beatles and KISS were my
    foundation.

You don't want to hear my own version of number One. :)

  10. Lately all I have been doing is music....but never on here. I am not a Utuber.

  13. When I came to Canada well...........

There was a Danetta and me and my brother took the song
and I did a lyrical change. Danetta thought she was the best
    of the best.

So I had a fun just writing on a lyrics which went something like this:

    Number one number one
    This other is number ten

Naw I will have to post it as I was just having fun
and as a band back then we decided to not play the song
    Although my brother wished too.

  14. I just did...to be within a studio is fun, work, but what I have found is that everyone is every earthy and they smile. I guess that gives some idea of what making music is all about. But music is never made.

It's a blend pending the musician. This gent exampifies that.

  15. The saying is good for a smile! Goodnight :)

  17. The MJ he was great he was one of a kind what is terrible is that like
most musician he never had intervention....but he is a modern day Elvis.
But the man wrote his own songs as well as produced them and staged them.
I don't wish to focus on the sad but rather the songs.

    I grew up with him!

    ReplyDelete
  18. yeah i see that in all your recorded songs

    ReplyDelete
  19. Still up but next week I shall feature a friend which is from here
very good guy and is playing in session wish Slash. Slash was
the first opt of MJ a a lead guitarist.

    ReplyDelete
  20. MJ is of different sounds, i liked some of his selections too.

    ReplyDelete
  21. One of his best lyrics he ever made (again I don't wish to regard the stuff on him).

    He was beyond Elvis...
(I do have the time as it's the weekend)

No one in my time nor of whom I have seen
was able to do what Micheal Jackson did.
I know all this news that surrounds him and
his family but there are more musicians that
are or have been on something. I don't wish
nor choose to go there as here again would
be that of what we all surmise.
I would rather forget about the negatives and
understand that there was one of the most
precious performers that we were or have been
    able to see.

I don't wish to thrive on anything else as even
the Beatles were tied to cocaine for two tours.
So I believe with MJ in enjoying what he made
and the music - who ever could come close to the
lyrics as well as production. Even Paul McCartney
had the hardest time when MJ bought him out.

But I think MJ was different as many musicians are but
one that was raised in being different and what I love
is the music he had wrote, produced, and made.
In seeing those whom were at his concert - even days
after they had a glisten within their eyes as he was
..................TALENTED. More than whom we shall
see in his manner or of the likes within the past - presant
and future. As MJ was an INSPIRATION.

Some can dance some cant - MJ could do more than that.

The first song that came off or from "Off the Wall" were
two hits by way of a great producer, the second hit was
this one and he did have a great voice parallel to none.

She is Out of My Life

I think MJ was a very sensitive person. I think that he never faked most anything.
Again I don't wish to get into what is happen in the news with this man which
the musical and entertainment era lost - yet he has never been my favorite
but he has been right up there as I don't frankly know of one that could
write in the manner of which Micheal Jackson had.

I don't much care about the "TMZ's" of everyone's lives especially when
they are gone. But the legend of a great ........person yeah person does live on.
As with those which have made an impact - I find that there has always been a
positive trickle up effect. In Country music, Rock music, Symphonies, and as
    well the arenas of "Pop".

There are some today that are only where they were or are at due to the fact
they were influenced and inspired by the likes of icons as MJ and so many others.

  22. The Black and White i like listening to, Jack

    ReplyDelete
  23. Elvis never wrote his own lyrics - MJ did...
Elvis was good but Elvis never wrote
    his own music.

    MJ did.

  24. The song 'Man in the Mirror' has something to do with our selves. I find it worth listening too.

  26. She is out of my life
She is out of my life

His first hit song on the same album as "Don't Stop".

  27. Or lol there is Gene's Sniff the Glove ---------- ouchie :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Sniff the Glove' i haven't heard - am sorry

    ReplyDelete
  29. It was Gene you don't want to honestly.

    ReplyDelete
  30. She is out of my life i like humming but with a different words - it goes like this
-- He is out of my life
    and i don't know why
    :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. I love the v oice of Gene too. He sounds very cool and mellow

    ReplyDelete
  32. Gene's idol was John Lennon believe it or not.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think Oscar Wilde and Lennon would have a lot of fun on a t.v. chat show together. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Douglas I think so he had sensibility yet he was not a musician but had a manner of looking
at things within a manner which was more within the good than the bad. I don't know what he would
think of this era but he was a very notable person to say the least.

    ReplyDelete
  35. There is a theme there. Bono wished he could have a single as the Who.
In fact he used it many times yet the theme is of NOW. As the Who did
write on society and would have no qualms with writing how they felt then
nor now. U2 stays away from this right now much like most artists and the
reason is they don't want to loose fans. These oldies don't need more money
so they are free as a bird to write as they please.

Yet John Lennon would have no reservations in writing a song aside
of Imagine - within these times. That's why John was always looked at
as being rebellious, while George felt much the same but went into seclusion
    after John's death.

    ReplyDelete
  36. All musicians or most wished to stay away from politics - U2 where the only ones which
from Ireland wished to go the poli way. And a few others which really just see tidbits of
what's happening but for me music was never apart of the poli. Poli - politics.

    ReplyDelete
  37. The song myself I love is one which is of INXS - called Stairs.

The reason is that we all do walk the stairs
    We do without dispair....

The lyrics speak for themselves and I believe
there have been remakes on this song by a few.
That who do care about the content of which they
    write.

    ReplyDelete
  38. G8 The World is watching

Each of us is entitled to our thoughts, emotions, and feelings. But i wish all those who wished to participate to a song-song-politics ends up their song to a positive note and not to the side of encouraging people to make war not only to the government but to themselves as well. I listen very carefully to each and every song, in the same way i listen to every words that's been said.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Today I just met a man and wife that made an album on this very subject.

    ReplyDelete
  40. yeah the 'The Stairs' of INXS is a wonderful song about life.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Jon and Richie ironically are the few within rock which still
are enjoyed by many. The did break up but with a come back
from country then back within a "pop rock".

I truly enjoy these two as they really are what we see as Bon Jovi...
    know...

    ReplyDelete
  42. The freedoms of which we have and know
are those of which we know and render.
Freedom is of that of leaving that of which is
    other that productive.

Peace is within the era of music of which I know
and as well within love John Lennon said it best.
"You never are within peace until you understand
that aside of that of which brings peace is that
    of your own."

Peace happens within that of which we enjoy
and leave the things which are empty or of emptiness
is of the enjoyment of life.

Joy is within life and of that in which we LOVE.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Truly. Well said Jack ... well said :)

Peace is within our self depends on how we put and understand things and those of people around us. Emptying ourselves of those that is less important saves us from seeing things in a more beautiful and enjoyable manner.

it's an experienced exchanging thoughts with you Jack. I learned so much and gonna' keep it as i travel the journey. tight hugs

  46. 30 more minutes and then I am off......I love music as that is my expression.

    ReplyDelete
  47. ok ...

by the way, the thoughts you placed up there is too much into reality. Beautiful

    ReplyDelete
  48. Lets scrabble it........ :)

He was writing on those that feed on war before the wars which took place thereafter.
He was not dumb. Gene and Paul are anti war yet Gene lived through war and
came to America as a Hungarian Jew.

This song was more of those fanatics which are in power and ironically this was wrote
years before we ever had problems of the last decade. He was writing within a style
of that of a tyrant which thrived on war and power.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Paul Stanley has the brain, Jack. He could not have written those lyrics if he had not have it.

  50. Heaven is one Fire
    (Don't take it too serious)

I look at you and my blood boils hot,
    I feel my temperature rise
I want it all, give me what you got,
    there's hunger in your eyes
I'm getting closer, baby hear me breathe
You know the way to give me what I need
Just let me love you and you'll never leave

    [Chorus:]
Feel my heat takin' you higher,
burn with me, Heaven's on fire
    Paint the sky with desire,
    angel fly, Heaven's on fire

I got a fever ragin' in my heart,
you make me shiver and shake
    Baby don't stop,
take it to the top, eat it like a piece of cake
You're comin' closer, I can hear you breathe
You drive me crazy when you start to tease
You could bring the devil to his knees

    [chorus]
Oho Heaven's on fire, oho Heaven's on fire, oho

I'm getting closer, baby hear me breathe
You know the way to give me what I need
Just let me love you and you'll never leave
    [chorus repeats out]

    Oldie but a goodie.

It's a retro but when you leave out the lyrics and listen to the music.
I guess this was why KISS promoted over 100 bands as they were always
a concert band. If you were alive and over 13 in 1980 you would have
known KISS. Most don't know but Paul and Gene have been the longest
duo within any rock band. There are some ample songs which included
Sting, Bryan Adams on other albums.

Two people which literally came from nothing and much like the Beatles
KISS did it....yet within a "KISS" way.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Writing lyrics to come up with a certain song and melody needs some thinking and so is in wtiting poems. The heart and the brain functions incresondo if not it will be just a song with out meaning and just a poem that is full of words but no heart involved. Just my thoughts please. :)

  54. Paul Stanley got it all in this particular song he wrote. It's exclusively for those who are in loved. No malice please as we all grown ups. A very straight forward song that find wonderful too.

This blends into one old one one retro but music never has had a time era....Sade
is one of the solo performers has a following when she does go on tour yet
record sales are not on the horizon as much are bought now by ITunes.
    Yet she is!

so retro but yet to some we all do recall...

    Duran Duran

Have no idea what that was about but..........again check 2.

A kinda here today gone tomorrow band but, "The Reflex" was the cul du sac for
Duran Duran, along with Panter Pants haha :)

  61. I like almost all of Sade's song, Jack.
Love the way she experessed it. No qualms as artists should be.

... and that is Paul Stanley. laughs* sorry Jack am talking as a fan here :) and ;) [giggling, allow me please]

  62. A sentimental song when one is in love that is how i will put the Duran Duran song, and that is a wonderful feeling. Truly old songs of the past genre's are more endearing and speaks more from the heart and mind of the listener.

  66. This may be one of the best songs by the most humble bands of all times.

    The One

"Tell you someday Baby, you and I should be one, one.
Do it always, brighter than the eye can see, we hide the sun."

I have no idea where these three are now.
Some know when to place it all up and call it a day.
Yet the music which they made was tremendous.
As well as they wrote more songs for other performers.
Than that of which they placed out - so they were sessional musicians
    and perfoming musicians.

"The One" was never a big hit - yet some musicians get to a point
where they don't need to place out a CD or songs - the do it due to that
    they enjoy it.

It must be nice yet it's rather a nice manner of getting to that point.
In this era how many make it beyond two years at the best?

    ReplyDelete
  67. a lovely song actually. And whoever wrote the lyrics of this one 'One' song is tremendously in love. Amazing how songs could speak straight to the heart.

... but to be able to see through lyrics, a person should have no qualms and must love music so much with no hesitations at all.

    hugs tight. :)
