Never let go of those of which you deem as good friends. While making new ones.I just finished off talking with a friend which is much like a brother whom lives within Syracuse. We talked for an hour at least and boy it does make the soul feel good. Mind you its' much like family and Mark has always been a thoughtful one aside of the music and his profession of which he has in Syracuse. I am so dumb when it come to face book but with all going well there shall be a song or two that I may be able to place on here.
I know upon calling my brother it would bring a tear to his eyes as we all were much like family. I myself had to compose myself after the talk as we are so close yet so far away. I do miss these two which I have always considered as brothers. So much for the transient lifestyle as there are things that you do miss out on - one of them is growing along with others. Yet there is a connect and ironically how it is that we have throughout the years kept within contact as well as during the times of no contact we have always been there.
When we talk we literally almost cover it all and this week ahead there again is much to be done and as well Marc has that sensibility. It's a ponder as how close and yet how far away yet through all these years how much we do have in common.
Ironically tomorrow for myself is a big day and as well for these two whom I deem as brothers and have seen over five times - we are more alike than I can even begin to mention. They are coming out with their own band which has always been in existence since early days and when I do recieve there songs I shall place them on here.
I guess the nature of this write tonight is never let friends go - especially those which were and have been and may very well be apart of your dynamic. There is much more than just music which makes apart of my own life dynamic but as Mark and I agreed we are older than we were - and we are cautious as to what we do - but not too cautious as life has much out there. It's so strange as half my real friends are within the eastern USA and the other half are here within Canada.
It still amazes me of those of whom I know and it's a reciprocating effect.
Go figure as I am going to look at the stars.
Old friends are like wines as the saying goes and for me ... it is in those trying moments in time when you'll see who really do shine.
ReplyDeleteThe stars are out tonite Jack but fix your eyes on just one star :). A happy and blissful nite to you and stay good. laughs* [on a good note please]
These are not old in fact we have kept in contact by the means of the old style of cummunication yet it's nice to have that talk. Distance comes to be no distance.
ReplyDeleteYeah..
My son lives near Syracuse.
ReplyDeleteHi Rod just about to head off but it's a nice state all in all.
ReplyDeleteI have many cousins that live there.
ReplyDeleteThe city of the orange and then some Rod.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see you are staying in touch with old friends. Sometimes, you just grow apart from friends. That is one of the reasons life can be so bittersweet.
ReplyDeleteNothing in life is permanent. Not even friends.
That's why it can be bittersweet.
I am glad to have you as an online friend.
Here's hoping it lasts.Touch wood.

syracuse..is it a university?
ReplyDeleteits a good way to start and continue...looking at the stars,,:)
Syracuse is a city within New York State. It's 2 hours North of me. They do have a major university. That's where my son got his law degree.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that you keep in contact with many of your friends from yester-years, Jack.
Syracuse is a city with the foundation from Italy. Caroline it does have a great university but the city itself
ReplyDeleteis right near Lake Ontario. I was raised there as well went back several times and yeah there is SU, the home
of the "orangeman" as Syracuse has a great university as well as it's a city which when you take into account
the suburbs and all it's nearly a million in population. Thus there is Syracuse in New York as well there is
a Syracuse within Italy (wrote similiar yet the city within New York State was founded by Irish as well as Italians.)
Last night I had gotten off the telephone with a great friend as within my youth I lived in the suburb called Cicero
which is apart of Syracuse, New York. And then I babbled...:)
Yeah I think that would be Binghamton or around there. New York State is tremendous there are more interesting things
ReplyDeletewithin New York than just the city of New York.
Theresa I have went to SU as my second university and as well I have travelled back there and every time I make a point
of meeting up with those which are still there it's really much like my second home althought later I did go back and live
within New York City as well.
Even though my son is practicing law here, he has many friends that he meets up with in Syracuse. He's really into their sports teams. He has season tickets to all home football and basketball games. He even tries to go in the middle of winter to these games. And you know how much snow Syracuse receives.....Way too much!!! Very close to 200 inches.
ReplyDeleteWithin New York City they often as a fun joke would referr to Syracuase as a part of Canada. Syracuse gets a ton of snnnnnnn (can I say it) no. :)
ReplyDeleteThey get a ton because it all comes off Lake Ontario.
If one doesn't live within New York City, it's all foreign to them. lol That's why everyplace outside of the City is referred to as Upstate, NY.
ReplyDeleteYes, those winds coming off Lake Ontario (lake effect), cause all the troubles.
Thanks for the lesson lol.
ReplyDeleteThe Rochester and Buffalo would be "Side State". :) Just kidding.
