Saturday of Thanks to a Country I do Love

A fine day it was mind you within the morning now you do have to dress up and the dress down. Saturday was a vacation of that which was just merely going with the flow. When I arrived home I had 1000 emails now that is way too much how does one read all of them and then do there own thing.

Yet within the day it was that harmony of enjoying the day mind you I did run into a tad of a problem where there was one person which thought his (you know what) didn't stink and it was all within road rage. I pulled over and he approached me. I don't push it but I just listened to what he had to say and then after I asked him if he was done. The merits of confrontation with some - yet I waited for what ever came my way and he seemingly knew I was no push over and I can carry my own. I don't know where he was coming from yet when it came to a face to face I mentioned - do as you please and we shall see how it goes from there. He went on and on and then I finally told him to shut up. The old alpha male syndrome at it's best but after I suggested that the best thing would be for him to get back in his truck. He paused and then decided to leave. Thereafter I headed over to see one friend of mine and then thereafter came home. Most of all Canadians are coming more so within their own. I think that the fact that we are a polite yet thoughtful - we are more of a peaceful nation. One that does not have to mention much but underneath it all we do more than what the average never does notice. We don't have that need to be noticed. Yet we are different within each and every province. Yet there is much which we have to be thankful for. I do in this day and age I do. Yet I don't have to declare it which really is the Canadian manner and way.

Today was that kind of day where everyone was taking in the times. There were more people from so many areas as here it is a Thanksgiving weekend. I was going to go into the studio to catch up on things and then I thought to myself this is a weekend of which is a holiday and I bought myself few things. When I arrived home I had a call from my mother telling me it's my father's birthday tomorrow. What I have always done with him is get a card and then I take a pen and write out something within pros. Tomorrow he shall have it. I do value family but what I have found as they get older they tend....well they just get older.

With thanksgiving coming up on Monday here, I don't know what they shall do for that matter I am not sure what I shall do yet what I have learned of recent is that each day I just take it as it comes and thus far it's been working rather well. After this first week within work it was nice to just have that free flow of time and all things are seemingly coming into place.

I finally have gotten used to this Multiply and it's nice to write within it. I do still value the shares but here within Canada there is much to be happy for - I was reading when I came on to one friend which hails from Ontario and she really did place it well. I hope she doesn't mind as I am going to copy what she wrote as it is Canadiana if you will. Erika I hope you don't mind as your wrote it in a manner which I could not write better myself. Canada is not a country which is within that need of which is wrote over and over by many over their country - Canada is a ensemble of so many races and it's not a melting pot - it's just a country which aside of the weather is very content. Canada is a nation which is of many nations, while it's a country which I still say is that humble one. Thanksgiving began within Canada and then was adopted, but that's not important and last but not least Canadians' at large have done well and for that as one that reside within a country which is very much respected by Europe and other nations - we just blend while we have literally handled the economy and other areas far better than any nation within this world. If several of the former Prime Ministers were alive today they would be mighty proud of what Canada is becoming. The red and whites seemingly have worked out well within these times and I do feel good of being within Canada as well as the array of people within Canada of which I know. Thus it's a Thanksgiving weekend and especially within this year Canada has done rather well but we don't relish within it all we just live within peace.

"This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving. We here in Canada have plenty to be thankful for. We live in a beautiful country. Free from war, famine, poverty. Our economy is doing better then most countries during this "recession" and we are holding our heads above water. For the most part anyway.
We do need to go farther in ensuring that the Aboriginal peoples are living in homes that are safe and up to standards. Right now most people living on reserves are living in sub standard dwellings and most indigenous people are suffering greatly. The native reserves and cities in Canada have the highest rates of violence, drop outs and other equally bad statistics.
We pretty much stole this land from the Aboriginal people and I think we owe it to them to make sure they are not living in conditions that are not even fit for an animal. They don't have heat or running water. In this day and age that is a great travesty.
Being a Canadian is a wonderful thing. We are blessed to have acquired this magnificent land (by somewhat devious means).
But we need to give back and to make sure we reduce our ecological footprint on earth. We don't own this land. We are only temporary residents. We should keep the earth in pristine condition for all beings. It is far from pristine at the moment. But, it could get worse, especially if corporations that make deals to send "dirty oil" from Canada to the US get their way. The earth will become jeopardized even further.
By the time my grandchildren have children what will be left for them?
Also, on my mind this holiday weekend is that it is an influential musician's birthday on October 9th. That being John Lennon of the Beatles. I love John Lennon and miss him dearly.
I am thankful that he touched us all by his music and his words.
John Lennon would have been 71 if he hadn't been taken from us way too soon. His message of peace is something I will always admire and look up to.
Thanks John." by Erika of Ontario

Oh Canada I do love these grounds of which I reside. Hence what it's afforded me is what I personally value.

  2. Happy thanksgiving day to you Jack and Canada.

You are lucky when you had that 'road rage' that your country doesnt allow guns....if it happened here in the USA, you would have probably been shot....especially now with the rage so many feel of being out of work and how they feel about the govt here.

  7. Oh, you are so sweet to post what I said about being thankful to live in this most beautiful Country. I take it as huge compliment that you should quote me.
    Thanks.
I like your thoughts on being Canadian too.Although we do still have "road rage" here, we are known for being gentle and peaceful for the most part.
I love living in a Country that is safe, free and democratic.
    Happy Thanksgiving Jack.

  8. It's on Monday yet Marty there are more countries within this world than just one. I have residency within both the USA and Canada and I wish to write on Canada in comparision to any country but of that of it's own. That is not as easy as it seems. I can and do practice now and then a gun - but I don't wish to sound
self indulged but I have never been brought down - and most often confrontations can be handled without any form of violence. This is a weekend of thanks and as well my father's birthday. I had went over and sat down within him and then handed him a card within a lengthy writing and the man I think right now is having the time of his life as he more than likely is getting calls from family and friends.

  12. When I arrived on last night Erika I read what you placed. As you know I have lived half my life in the USA and the other half in Canada. I did wish to take what you had there although it was that of your own. Your a full fledged Canadian from birth and the manner of which you posted it was worth the chance and I thank you.

Monday is Thanksgiving and from way over here to the west and in having been to all provinces and as well having lived within Toronto for a two year term I could understand what you were saying. And as well I added more as I do wish to write a little about this country. I am not on here for a mission yet just here to enjoy.

So that was the first and there are so many countries which shape this world I don't feel the need to compare the USA and Canada. I feel that Canada does stand it's own grounds as a very secure, free, democratic country which is truly humble until one has had the Canadian experience. As like any other country. Yet it's the thanksgiving weekend which started here. I met up with a friend and his wife whom are
well travelled - and there are some recent polls of which I didnt know with regards to Canada - one was on this Huffingtion Post as Canada was rated the highest but I have to check it out.

Happy "thanks" Sunday and tomorrow - Happy Thanks giving. Imagine that as time has flown by so fast.
