Thoughts go out to those families enduring and affected within the Midwest with all these Tornados...I hope this all does end. It's very tragic and sad to see how many are being effected by the multitudes of tornados.
The lives, which have been affected, are mind boggling to say the least.
Yes and it takes so long to get it all cleaned up. The jet stream and El-Nina are being nasty buggers this year. It will be nice when this phase is over again. We have had tornado watch in effect several times in the past few days.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this is not good at all I watched part of it today and the Saskatchewan Potash Corp contributed a million dollars to the relief plan.
ReplyDeleteAs many companies have. And I could be wrong but I think this is the first that so many occured within the such a short order of time.
I would like to add my prayers and good wishes to the list. I have grown kids and grandkids that live just about 150 to 200 miles from Joplin, 90 miles south of St Louis. My daughter has kept me updated. Thank goodnes for the computer.
ReplyDeleteYes Jack this really is sad not to mention the heartahce everyone is feel right now.
ReplyDeleteThe same here Jack..I really feel for those people...
ReplyDeleteMy heart and prayers go out to those in Joplin, and elsewhere. My area was not used to tornadoes, and another one went through last night. Thank god, no injuries, just damage. But this was the third one this Spring, here in the Upstate NY area. Something different in the weather pattern for sure!
ReplyDeleteBy all means I have a old friend whom resides down there and I have not heard from since two days ago. She was a great friend - I nearly almost went back to the US as we were very close. I don't know how many realize that I am "americanadian". But that all said, the night before four days ago I was watching CNN before heading off to sleep land and when they showed how this is as well as how long it shall take - to then all the damage which has been done. Oh there are people all to interested in the worries of 2012 - where right now is where there is a need. This is sad and not glorified. It's just not good in any stretch of the imagination.
ReplyDeleteKen, I love writing within philosophies the the most part. There is one good gent on here that writes professionally with a blog and I am trying to line up things for the weekend his name is Will. However that all said. We all write to our own accord, but and I don't get all that many posts anymore. But offline, yesterday I was talking to one person whom is a part of a company called Ameritech. They are from England and handle much of Saskatchewans, gold and nickle. Now I myself contributed by way of Red Cross with Katrina. I am not on here to solicit. But I do believe the merits of even twenty dollars is better than nothing. I am not making this up as when I see some of the vanity (some) and then the contrast of a father crying as he does not know where his son is - that is one of so many stories. I don't like catastrophes. I know most dont, I dont know whom has. But I do believe there are merits in doing something when one can. This is not just the typical storm season which happens within what we know as "Tornado Alley" - this is the first time recorded that so many tornadoes have actually touched down within a very short period of time. When I saw this man crying about his son and how long it's going to take for the water levels to come down. This is a catastorphe and I believe in the merits of action. We are from different countries yet we all basically are the same. I am making my donation and I hope that others that are able do. This is where walk the talk indicates if the truth is valid or we just sit and write within fiction.

Julie hey good morning as we are on the same time .....I do. I never have been down in those parts - I nearly did back a few years ago but I have never been in Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma - but Julie one thing seeming is apparent is that we are within this area of blogging which so often we forget about the real things which matter. I know that many don't take to me for some reason. But I still believe in integrity and I do think that the G8 summit, and all the politics are overshadowing this. I could be wrong but this could lead to being worse damage than Katrina. They opened the levies yet the time it takes for water to slowly drain is going to be months, not days nor weeks. It's a natural disaster, but Julie they are people just like you or I. I don't know if I could handle what the folk there are handling to be frank. My hopes last night were to do a dedication on Memorial Day. With the help of one friend I may still but the size and amount to tornadoes. It's a first in history and I believe in doing something regardless of how much. Julie - maybe it's worth it - you know what I mean. I believe that $20.00 dollars feeds 7 people and.....you know what I am getting at. Hugs you.
ReplyDeleteLost conection....Theresa...
ReplyDeleteWithin New York we get hurricanes but we never had that large worrie of tornados. I do have one good friend from Missippi but I really would hope that all do make some contribution. It's the first time in history that so many have happened within such a short period of time. There are many companies around the world and within America that are placing monies within this effort. Here from this province there are five very large companies now which have placed monies as well as within the university here believe it or not, there is a marathon going on this weekend to raise money for victims of Joplin and all areas effected.
ReplyDeleteI believe that there are some that can afford a small contribution. It's WORTH IT. I wish I had some of you either on as friend and I could talk with. As this aint easy. But I shall write further on this and many people at times probably say - "who is this Initiative Stain" from Canada and who does he think he is. But I pride being what I place into slang - "Americanadian". And I know if it was myself and I had lost so much due to a natural disaster/act of god which within many insurance packages is NOT covered, nor can lives be replaced.....I am transfering over a little some to the red cross.
I do get teed off at times where vanity takes over and as previously mentioned I do believe in walking the write or talk. I read so many blogs within the eve and it baffles me on the small things that people are complaining about. I know if I was living on a cot in a gymnasium or shelter, I would be pondering what comes next.
I hope others do there thing - Crisis comes from a latin term. I hope Theresa people do send a few bucks.
Nice to read you're helping the red cross* Jack. It is such a wonderful gesture ... some only do the talk but very few really act. A warm hugs here.
ReplyDeleteOh I know Jack anything one can do to bring about some comfort to the stricken is a small blessing which we can all enjoy in our own efforts.
ReplyDeleteas you know I also try my best to share and sometimes show others a chance to improve their life or the lives of others in the way they think and deal with life on a day to day base.
Keep up the great work you are doing also Jack for like you a moment to share something of great value is worth more than gold or silver anytime I think too
Just got in a while ago and this is one of those things where it falls into that category of ~why not ~.
ReplyDeleteKen it was a small effort not huge and as well I have a project I hope that I can pull off over this weekend. Over there you had a terrible situation that took place as well. It's all within that small act I believe.
ReplyDeleteYes Jack none of us are spared now days the path is showing a way we have to all face and deal with the best we can to help eachother less everythign be lost for all time to come.
ReplyDeleteI certainly hear you Ken...
