Healing

What tomorrow brings is uncertain but within uncertainty there is always that one area of hope. Some people will fall when things are tough and some seemingly have a mindset to get past things. Without bragging I know that I shall get past this I am not sure what all it is - it could be just the upper jaw mending slowly or neurologically things slowly starting to render back and sometimes that illustrates itself in the form of what we feel as pain.

All things come and they go and this is one that seemingly periodically is hitting me. And all I know is that the best thing is to accept it and to just have patience with it and allow things to mend.

I am not much of one for resting all that much but sometimes I guess this might be the case. I guess the best manner in dealing with things as such are accepting them and just letting time go. If you factor out time and if you allow yourself to be yourself and embrace pain - before you know it you have achieved a challenge.

Peace to all and a great week to you.

Jack

Wishing all a great HALLOWEEN as well wishing you a great week.

Grab That Broom

“There should be less talk….Take a broom and clean someone’s house. That says enough.”

--Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa, the diminutive spiritual giant who worked daily in the streets of Calcutta, seeing “Jesus Christ in all of his distressing disguises,” as she put it, offers us some profound wisdom in her briefly spoken advice. “There should be less talk,” there should be more action on your part. The old aphorism, “I hear, I forget; I see, I remember; I do, I understand,” applies not only to what you want to learn, but also to how you wish to be treated. Behavior is the most effective way to communicate with others. When you find yourself embroiled in the futility of words, stop and remind yourself of the great wisdom of Mother Teresa’s suggestion. Ask yourself, “What can I do here?” By all means, talk it out, but eventually you must take the broom and clean the house of another if you are truly going to be of help. Your words, while important, risk being forgotten if they are not followed by action.

People of action, those who make a difference in life, those whom we most admire, all seem to know the truth of the ancient wisdom, “What you do speaks so loud, I can’t hear what you say.” Be a doer. And in the process you will do more to teach others and to bring fulfillment into your own life than all the words in the dictionary could ever convey.

One Step Forward

Maybe one small step back. I so don't like to complain on here. We all like to talk about the good things within life and yesterday was great and then today took a turn. I guess this may have something to do with my teeth as here again I can't talk. There have been so many things I have wanted to do right now I did for part of the day and then there it came the pain and well my apologies to those of you that take this as I should get some rest as I did but man pain is something that really can take over ones health. I am not down but this I hope this passes as it aggrevates so many things. Body wise. I could stop and not do anything but that is pointless I would rather endure this and think through it and thereafter get a good night sleep.

I never encountered something like this and I have to find some manner of coping with it till it passes. And nor do I wish to be a repeating cycle of writing on this and I thought it was all over with but seemingly there is more to go.

Last night was delightful and I hope I can do a mindshift with this and just write on something as I intended too.

While the City Sleeps

Not much but my last few pictures prior to what took place and I do look forward to doing some more. This was about three weeks ago.

It's Halloween

I went out today and I might have pushed it a little. I can't talk again and that is so hard to take. There are many things that are on my mind ironically yesterday I was feeling fine but I guess it comes and it goes. One could ask why? And then one says cadence and acceptance. The day was great sunny and all not all finished but this is something that I am realizing and I know now with what some have said that this would take time. I am not in that position to take pictures. I went for a nice good drive and thought about several things most of all I thought about how this changed since yesterday but then again I hope that this does pass all in good time. Fast time maybe. Right now I am not sure all what to say. I knew what I wished to write today as it was within a good fashion of what all is going on within the world but it's rather somthing when that is difficult and maybe the key is to just take a rest and come back to it.

Meanwhile I do wish all a great Happy Halloween. Tomorrow is the first day within November go figure .....this year did go by so fast.

Since it's Halloween I thought..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4kTtGbNa-8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtPEXTZrKTE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDH4c-H0CJ4

Things to Remember or Just Understand.

No matter how decent you are to some there will always be those that have there own ways - let them be.

You can't please everyone and even when authentic you still might not fit into the status quo but then again what is the status quo.

There are those that love ya, hate ya and then there are those that are within the middle. (Somthing is to be said about that).

This is for expression and enjoyment some take it too serious and I know I have at times which I have learned.

Don't judge someone from where they come from as it's not about where they come from it really is about whom they are.

Can a man a women have a friendship - YES.

Does life give you all that you want - NO. You have to work for it.

If you can smile one time at least two times a day - it's a day of life.

Do people get through thing by alone - NO. Only in the stone ages.

I am sure there are more things here but I thought I would do a small post.

Will people turn at the hardest times of your life - Yes some will and some won't that indicates the people and how authentic they are.

If you have anything to add by all means. Oh yeah did I do this as a hoax no. But am I ok yeah.

Last - I thought it was Friday today and I do not have that bad of a brain injury.

Have I been just posting to friends only - Yes for good reason and I am kind of tired of it but within friends you seemingly find to come to know those whom really are your friends on this thing.

Oh yeah....is it cold yes for all in America it's 20F and most all around the world know what that is in celcius. Oh lets just say it's cold.

Hugs to friends.

I respect so many I just arrived home after sitting for two hours at one of the fire departments here....I am going about it slowly yet man I thought today was Friday.

I guess that says something. I could write on this but it's been a good day, I am not about to drive at night right now. I don't want this to go wrongly within the friends I have as there are some that are connected to ones that .........I am not.

I hope I can write tonight and I hope that a few do walk the talk they have offered. No pictures but I have not sat in bed all day or at home. This shall illustrate I think whom is what and what really is.

I thank you for all your mentions and once again it's a mild stroke. If it's not mild it's time to send me to the funny farm :)

Good night and all the best to those whom are a friend. As I have truly been inspired and enjoyed this, can't say this while has been my best. Perhaps an odd duck here. I guess that is for me to find out or know.

General

I forget what day and right now what week I know it was within three weeks that I went in at two am to the emergency. I dont want to discuss this much but all I will say is that I the ER was silent and I was then excused a few people came and said to the resident something. I was in a fog at the time. He said to go to my doctor the next day as by orders she has to see me. She didnt see me and I layed having convulsions till I got on the phone and called for a ambulance. I was then taken in. Some injection was givin I don remember much for a day and then saw a neurologist that said that this is a very very mild stroke (mini). I finally as of today have been able to walk but slow as well the only think is time but it's told to me that it will be two weeks which is about now and then I will have my ability back.

The hardest thing is not being able to talk. I forget the name of this but at least I am having cognitive function. I was on ealier. I do drive, I have a friend that comes with me but I am very angry.  Two days was much too long but there is no brain damage from the scans. I can write if I keep writing and all seems to be good but I know how this could have gone. All I have to say is that I have had my share of stress and much more than most really do know. And I had psychological tests as well.

I am not making comment on this as I am weighing out my options on this one as I may very well .........I think you know what I mean. Right now I have been eating ensure....and trying to get in food.

I am sorry people but I am very angry. But will get over it.....so I am thinking postive and slowly shall win this race here or whatever you call it. I just know if it was a true stroke it would be indefinately. I don't have traumatic just a mild case and well I am just very angery.......very angry but am a passicifist.

Thankyou

I have was in emgency....I can't write well but the feeling is that I have had a slight mild mild mini stroke. At the correct time, I will write to those which are friends. I do appreciate your support as for two weeks it's been very hard for me. I can't talk - that is within life right now, but today was the first day that I was able to write something as I hopes are tht all will come back soon. I do cherish those of you that consider me as I consider you a friend.

It has been devestating and there is more to write with time with friends. Don't cast me aside I would truly make a request.

Life is not perfect...but you render the best even during trying times.

Morning Hello

Well morning it is and it's been rather busy, I have not been on here much but do intend to read a few. My hopes that there are some things that do slow down. There are many things that have been at hand right now. As my mother really should have stayed within the hospital but I have this sense that she talked her way out of it as there is always something to tend to and the reason that there are hospitals is that you do have the care which is needed. So it's been actually very busy.

Jimi, I saw your post this morning with regards to Canada Pension plan system. To answer your question here there is a pension plan that come for all that are citizens called the Canadian Pension Plan and then there is as well what is called the Old Age Pension so in answering your question as it's tedious to do. So regardless each Canadian receives these I hope that answers your question. As within the USA there is what is called the Social Security Program.

Last, we have had gorgeous weather and shortly it's forecasted to change I have been rather busy and have not really had that self time as I have been on the go. But perhaps it shall slow down for the weekend! :)

Best of wishes,

Jack

Tricks and Treats

Things seem to just be going fine. Mind you I did get something for myself and when I figure out how to work the gizmo then I will render some captures on here. However, I have not been on here too much I really have been set on my goal. And this time last year it was much different as far as the climate goes. I am not sure about you but I get used to one thing and then to make the adaptation especially with something that I enjoy is something that takes time. Cameras I will have to literally figure this thing out but I think the main factor is that I am so used to my old small one. But all good things come within time. Within the questions that I place, there are some truly neat websites that really you can just enjoy for yourself there are a few that are brain teasers to say the least but I just like to throw that odd question in now and then.

Halloween is around the corner. Scary stuff...

I hope to write on this one but time there really is not enough time to write so much however there was this guy I knew that as a kid started a band with his brother. Within the first time the band started it was within a halloween dance for Halloween. Of course it's been some time but the main thing within the band was songs of the Beatles and as well there was always one set which was ...................KISS. And when a dance changes into everyone standing you know you have something as we did.

However, I thought I would place this picture - a blast from the past. As that was then and this is now but it was certainly fun! They would go on to perform at fairs, stadiums for the next four years and when I think of Halloween.  We didn't do any tricks or treats, but we had a tremendous choreographed set that years later when I had moved you literally would have people that you would run into and ask does the band still exist.

I guess I can call this an old picture from the vault.

Robot surgery pair creates History

Meet Robot DaVinci and Robot McSleepy.

The DaVinci surgical robot a world first of it's kind. A completely robotic surgery and anesthesia have been recently started to be performed at the McGill University Health Centre.  The DaVinci surgical robot, which allows surgeons to work from remote locations, was put to work this summer within Montreal.  Whereas the anesthesia robot, nicknamed McSleepy, has been providing automated anesthesia since 2008.  The two combined to perform the first all robotic surgery on a patient at the Montreal General Hospital.

The collaboration between DaVinci, a surgical robot, and anesthetic robot named, McSleepy seems to be a tremendous fit robots in medicine can provide health care of higher safety and precision, thus ultimately improving outcomes for patients,” said Dr. Hemmerling of McGill University who is also a neuroscience researcher.

The DaVinci allows surgeons to work from a workstation using all the operating surgical instruments with as delicate movements of fingers with a precision that cannot be provided by humans.  Teams of surgeons operate the robotic arms from a dedicated workstation via video with unsurpassed three dimensional high definition imagery.  With unparalleled quality.  An automated anesthesia delivery via McSleepy guarantees the same high quality of care every time it is used.  McSleepy, which was invented in 2008, can literally configure exactly to the specific needs for each and every patient that is undergoing a variety of surgeries by an ordinary surgery or of the likes of a robotic surgery.  Anesthesia has finally caught up.

Combining both robots, allows for faster, safer and more precise surgery.  DaVinci literally has made medical history and how we are going forward within these areas of medicine.  Here again this fascinates me and I would have loved to have seen this place or at least take pictures of this but just imagine where an operation can take place from thousands of miles away with tremendous precision.

Fascinating...

Robots will not replace doctors but help them to perform to the highest standards.

The Human Journey

There are 7 billion humans on earth, spread across the entire planet.  Scientific evidence suggests that it all started with a tiny group of people who left Africa on an incredible journey.  Crossing the world in five epic journeys, this series follows the archaeological and genetic footprints of our ancient ancestors in search of the lost story of how their journeys transformed our species into the humans we are today and how we came to dominate the planet.  How did we go from being a small and vulnerable group in Africa, to colonizing every landmass on the planet?  It's amazing to think of what our ancestors had to face in their survival and the obstacles to their global migrations.  And perhaps the most serious threat of all: were other humans.  Go figure.  Why was it our species of human that was eventually the only one left?  The range of environments that our ancestors had to survive has shaped all color, facial features and diet.  We actually mutated in accordance to our environment in order to survive.  But despite these differences, we also discover how astonishingly closely related we all are.

OUT OF AFRICA - We go in search of the first humans and try to piece together a picture of how they managed to survive in the dangerous environment of pre-historic Africa around 200,000 years ago.

AUSTRALIA - It's a huge puzzle, how our ancient ancestors made it as far as Australia from Africa, a journey that involved at least one sea crossing.  It’s even more puzzling that they arrived there long before our species reached the much closer continent of Europe.  Why was there a need for making a perilous crossing of an ocean?  Apart from some very ancient human remains in Australia that confirm the arrival of our species, there is very little to go on.  In this episode, we discover new evidence for this incredible journey.

ASIA - The journey into Asia, the world's greatest land mass.  How did early hunter gatherers manage to survive in some of the most inhospitable places on Earth and why did they take this route?  One clue may be found in the lifestyle of the people of Northern Siberia, whose lives are dictated by reindeer both wild and domestic, and their whose survival techniques appear to have been passed down through countless generations.

EUROPE - Early modern humans traveled from Africa into the heart of Europe and what may have happened on this journey to change their skin color from brown to white.  The endurance so unimaginable as the conditions of the last Ice Age.  And how did they come to dominate a land already inhabited by the tough, resilient Neanderthal peoples?  Cave paintings, sculptures, tools and music-instrument finds suggest that these early modern humans were much more imaginative, inventive and sophisticated than was previously believed, and perhaps it was these very qualities of ingenuity and resourcefulness that gave them the advantage of their Neanderthal cousins.

THE AMERICAS - As to just how early modern humans came to conquer the Americas, and the perilous route they may have taken to reach this vast landmass, cut off as it is by mountains of ice to the North and oceans to the South.  The various routes these travelers may have taken and find convincing genetic evidence to suggest that their route from North to South may have followed the Pacific coastline.

It does truly amazes me…

Well This Was Unexpected

This morning I was literally up early seeming my "inner clock" has kind of changed or someone has hit me with some adrenaline. I have been doing these runs within the morning. Thereafter I just took off downtown within my car and thought I would get a few pictures while the city is still asleep and it really was. As it was silent as can be. Thereafter later within the day a situation happened within family and the next thing you now my mums within the hospital. So an hour ago I just arrived back she is good. She apparently thought she had cracked a rib but the case is that she has fractures and with the change of weather it acts up.  So I have been "there and back" twice today and then I took her home and she seemingly is fine. I had to go get her medications and from the pediatric emergency ward they prescribed her a pain medication. I would have like to see them keep her in for a day if not more. However seemingly she is alright. So ironically today was a day of "just do it" in several areas.  As far as the run it's unbelieveable how some others are up early within the morning as well going and doing that night time run.

I don't think one is ever really prepared for the unexpected but I guess it's the way in which you handle it. I used to do some very private pictures with regards to my family even within hospitals etc - however I have come to decide that what is personal is personal and there are some pictures that I would never place on here as I used to before.

So it goes...

Just Do It

Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it will achieve. Vision great dreams, conceive in what you believe and be true to yourself and make it happen. Do it now, don't leave it for those many tomorrows. Within this entire world there was never anyone else exactly like you, and in all the infinity to come there will never be another you. Just take a minute to think on that, as there is no other person on this planet like you - period. Never affirm limitations and they will become your reality.

What you believe yourself to be, you are. To accomplish great things, you must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe. If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost - put foundations under them. Yes you can. Believing is magic, you can always better your best. You don’t know what you can do until you try.  Nothing will come of nothing.  If you’re not prepared for the risks coupled with the opportunities that wait.  What was yesterday does not surmise what is today, yet one does learn by way of experience but does not allow it to fall short of what can be their very own destination and goal.  There is no failure except in no longer trying.  Hazy goals produce hazy results. Clearly define your goals. Write them down, make a plan for achieving them, set a deadline, visualize the results and go after them. Just don’t look back unless you want to go that way.

Defeat may test you, but need not stop you.  When it really comes down to it an achiever never looks at defeat as a negative they see it as a learned lesson from which to take and try again, try within another way but try and success will follow.  For every obstacle there is a solution.  Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. The greatest mistake is giving up.  There is a gold mine within you from which you can extract all the necessary ingredients.  Success is an attitude, which only you can extract.  Get yours right. It is astonishing as much as it's amazing in how short a time it takes for very wonderful things to happen.

~ Let Me ~

Let Me

Let me be your Sunday driver
Let me be your Monday man
I'll take you anywhere you want
Just as fast as I can
It doesn't matter what you want to do
Nor where you want to go
Just got to decide
And then you can let me know

Did you ever want loving
So you're calling
Up your baby
But she's stalling
With the neighbors
The night keeps getting longer
The urge keeps getting stronger
So you’re trying yet you’re dying
Then you're wondering
If she loves ya and then a knock
It comes knocking at the door
Come on in honey

Let me be your Tuesday taxi
And allow me be your Wednesday boy
I'll be your loving man
You’ll be my package of joy
It doesn't matter what you want to do
It doesn't matter where you want to go
You just got to decide
Then let me know

I Read the News Today - Oh Boy...

What's happened to news? Since the creation of the Internet, smart phones and the ever increasing technological gadgets, it seems as though traditional news has been forced to back into a corner. Making way for the entrance of blogs and pseudo news sources. Websites such as The Huffington Post are quickly establishing themselves as reputable sources of hard hitting news. With the potentially injuring big time media players, such as The New York Times and The Washington Post, in their attempts to be relevant during these changing times. Let me be clear: The news is not dead, nor dying. In fact, it's very much alive and is thriving to its fullest potential. The oral tradition of breaking news will continue to survive despite budget cuts and economic meltdowns. The problem is that we, as readers, are having a difficult time differentiating between what is and is not news. The belief that news is slowly being nailed to the coffin is due to the uncontrolled amount of tabloid gossip bleeding into the newsroom. In order to make both their advertisers and readers happy, editors are forced to assign stories that are no longer as innovative or relevant. Gone are the days of Edward R. Murrow, one of journalism's greatest figures, noting his honesty and integrity in delivering the news. Whom was the first to report from the war zone during WW2, bringing what he named, "breaking news", which was listened to directly within most every home.

Readers continue to salivate over breaking news, in hopes to satisfy their thirst to be enthralled and entertained by the media. We demand our journalists to be objective, honest and relevant - creating a dilemma of what can be news and how it is presented.
We are now becoming accustomed to entertainment-biased news. Just to give you a few examples would be some of the one-liners about health care and same-sex marriages embedded within a series of Lindsay Lohan mishaps and Mel Gibson tirades. Is that really news? How are we supposed to act as the faithful watchdogs of the media if we can't even tell the difference between gossip and actual news?
In September's issue of Gentleman's Quarterly Editor-in-Chief Jim Nelson writes a humorous commentary on how the Web is changing the way he absorbs the news in this day and age. "I'm starting to worry a bit about what the Web and aggregating news sites are doing to our sense of what is news and what isn’t," Nelson writes. "It's cool that there are zillion more options for news, opinion combined with attitudes besides newspapers. But what does concern me is why are so many of them starting to bleed together? Like one massive churning, self-feeding, very blandish sphere?"

Nelson in my opinion is correct and right on the mark. It’s entirely OK to have an array of options of what we'd like to read as the news, but first, we must be given the opportunity to be presented with the choices of news that we can read. Without drawing a line of what is and isn't news, we are beginning to put ourselves in a difficult situation where the lines blur too closely between entertainment and actual relevancy. Perhaps we need a few more of the likes of Ed Murrow where we can come to simply read and understand unbiased new without the need to decipher the truth within the news.

Just give me the real stories unbiasedly...not sensationally.

A Luxurious Art Balance

Photography is a luxurious balance of art. Certainly a form within technology.  However I would like to consider it of a form that translates within some for into philosophy. It’s ones own rendered and recorded perspective if you will. Perhaps perspectives rendered within an art form that renders worth and truth.

Each image can take on a life of it’s own and with such a unique, expressive, and subjective art form. Imaginative vision offers so much than just the ordinary. Secondly, I am not sure if you have been amongst other photographers but most often it’s just like a group of painters within a room as all are very silent as they are capturing their own renders. I will never forget this while amongst 10 others all taking pictures around the St. Lawrence River.  Seemingly the lens is a catalyst that allows us to see yet that is merely all. A photo can be mysterious within a selective and silent manner. As the more one tells the less you know.  All of them can record what you are seeing. But, you have to see it and that sound rather different but it's all within what one sees a perception if you will. There are always two sides to each and ever picture the photography one whom views it.

The virtue of the camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking. There definitely is an art within the manner that one does render a picture. Fortunately for myself photography has not just been a hobby from which one just captures something, it's been a tremendous means and way in understanding nature, places, society, people and it never does get boring.

What I have come to understand especially the last four years is that within each render there is more to what we see and view. When we take that time to allow our eyes to view and see it.  The render of a photograph in truth never needs to be explained, the more you know the less you know – for some they may know what I mean. But it’s an art and it’s certainly something that I would have never fathomed enjoying as much as I do – yet I do.

I thought it was worth taking the time to write on this area as it truly ranks right up there and for every picture there are around twenty which I just delete. Yet it’s certainly an art form and within that essence of the click perhaps comes a genuine quality.

Unprompted Advances by way of the Lens

Merely a compilation of photographs taken within the middle of October. The leaves are nearly all gone as well the days are much shorter and the nights are much colder. There is no destination but there is just a feel for what is worth the render by way of the lens. Hence, "Unprompted Advances by way of the Lens"...

Miracles

Some of my Favorites Part 2 (63)

So often I think that we have our own very beliefs and values. It's something in which we have been raised upon and is a foundation of what "roots" us if you will. I believe within the theory of allowance. Within miracles it can be such a variety of things to so many people for myself I have seen those very close to me and friend that have passed away. Not all but faith is something that retains us as well as the areas of survival. It's a natural thing that mankind wishes to survive but when things are hard one does render from a variety of means. I am a faith bound person I would guess but I am not one that uses it for everything that I do. What I have achieved in life is what I have done. When I posted the question of last night I was curious yet at the same time I think that we all have a host of things that go on within our lives that we have what is within the stream of our life that certain thing that is apart of our persona.  As most know I was raised a catholic but I have mixed with a variety of people. I have seen ones within my own family beat odds that were not to be beaten I have over come situations that most would think would be too hard to do.

Yet I have a faith as well as I believe in the value of what comes within life and on this very earth. One could write on this subject but I am a very moderate person and I believe that there are things such as miracles that can happen.  Yet at the same time I truly believe there are areas in which challenge us that we create the miracle or as a metaphor we see a miracle. Rather serious for a Friday night but in a short manner that is how I feel on the power of the human condition as well as faith and miracles. I don't believe in a world that is mundane. For myself there has to always be something that is of use, some creating within a manner. To each their own as the saying goes and I guess that is the best way to sum this one write up within a rather quick write.

There are some examples but perhaps it’s best for another day. Yet while I was at this hugs church within Quebec. There was something one could feel within it. It was something that could have been in any place of worship but these people were very moderate – they felt very blessed within life and within their belief. Some did go there to this oratory to find a cure to something or something else, for myself I found that when I read within the news it’s really had taken me as I was just there not too long ago and it's 3,000 miles east. Yet we go on living and for myself I don’t now ever have pushed my values on others. I actually keep him or her to myself, as I am sure and certain that every moderate person does.

Miracles, I think we all do look at miracles in different manners and that is not being avoiding as I really feel that way. Bill here mention his three daughters he felt were a miracle. I feel much the same way and we all have our private areas in which we do retain and keep as a precious commodity to ourselves. The man below had just lost his wife and this was during the time I was station in a city called Edmonton. So I thought I would place two pictures one from Montreal and then one nearly 4,000 miles to the west to a place called Edmonton....

I am not on here to preach, nor would I yet there is a faith structure within everyone.

Hope (10)

A Friday Morning Hello...

That's it and today I am throwing on ointment and heading out for a run regardless of how small. As well the one thing about this time of the year is one can capture a sun rise so early but there is nothing like waking up to that aroma. One gets the grabs on to a coffee and it's Friday. I can't complain but here I am going to ask this one question. What do you find to be the best photo editor out there? Most would say photo shop. I would appreciate your thoughts on this one as I will have troubles with this one from time to time and I think it's going to be another format time. But so be it. Wishing you all a great day.

Brother André

More than 9,000 people primarily from Quebec shall travel to the Vatican this week for the canonization of Quebec's Brother André on Oct. 17. A Saint and Perhaps from the stories that I heard for a few very conservative people from different walks of life this was one very interesting person to go and visit. Brother André. Of Quebec. More than 2,000 people from across North America will travel to the Vatican this week for the canonization of Quebec's Brother André on Oct. 17.

Brother André was born in 1845, and he's about to become the first Canadian-born male saint. The canonization in St. Peter's Basilica will be beamed in live, at 4 a.m. Montreal time, to the public at St. Joseph's Oratory. Brother André was laid to rest there when he died in 1937 at the age of 91. His heart is stored in a reliquary inside the Oratory and is an object of contemplation I was there and saw this with my own two eyes – I will and shall write on this gentleman and hi as of the likes of many have done some tremendous things but I even forgot about the news and things that started to come out in the 80’s until I made a visit to this St. Joseph’s Oratory – I can’t say I know much about the man but some of the stories I heard and the amazement of how many were there I wish I would have had more time hey but when you have a lunatic yelling at you to leave well I guess that places an end to that however it certainly was something to see the healing and miracles that not only from America, Canada and Latin America but there were more people there that any place I had been too and it was not a special day just one of many. Efforts to have him recognized as a saint started in the 1940s, and he was declared venerable in 1978. He was beatified in 1982 after the Vatican as a miracle recognized a case of healing in 1956 officially. Over the years, millions of people have signed petitions asking for his sainthood. Last December, Pope Benedict XVI attributed to him a second miracle healing described as scientifically inexplicable, a requirement of sainthood. Details of the miracle have not been disclosed to the public. He will be the first declared saint I believe since Mother Theresa.

A Question within Your Time? Have you ever experienced a miracle? Do you think they're possible?

A Break is Good....

Aside of having to go into the hospital and have another tooth extracted. I have not been blogging since that time. Seemingly this year there is much anger that is going around. I found that the time away from all of this was something that was truly well deserved as I think we all can get caught up in all of this. However well all have our times perhaps I still amazed with what a few will do, then again after as nearly a week of being off here I thought I might just close this down after all. Wordpress, Blogger etc there are some blogs that are out there that perhaps are..................naw I am going to stick with this carry on with my writings as I deem fit.

I am not sure if you have ever stepped away from this for a while and come back to it and you do have a new feeling with it. Sometime I find that we place of those things that are of the most importance to us. I know I was to an extent. The last month was one that I have never seen the likes of yet what I have come to find is that there is a large arena of people that if they get teed off they shall go to all extents. I thought about it several times and I hope that this all stays decent.

I recall last year and it was nothing of the likes of this were if one didn't have there way in what they were saying or they didn't like what they saw posted, they would either posture, or get someone else on your blog and yeah within Multiply found that there was starting to be a thread of negative and more negatives. While tending to things and not being on this blog of mind I came to a few conclusions.

Certainly people will be people but within some assumptions that I have for the longest I was not far off. There are happy people that are content and do have that certain thing about them and then there are those that can be underhanded. Speaking of underhanded - it's just not pretty when you have a dentist .....um maybe we should not go there. However what was supposed to be a root canal ended up being another extraction.

I can't wait for dentures as right now it's nice eating from the left side.  Just a note there are some that I do enjoy and then for the life of me I really don't know the reasonablitity comes in when this is fun. So for the first time in several days I bid you a hello! And by the way the next Canal wish to run into is that of the Erie Canal...Last but not least it's great how fortunate the miners from Chile were.

Being away for a while sometimes can be a good thing!

Saturday eve Musings...

It was a full day and am glad with that despite this situation that is ongoing with my teeth. I literally have never wrote not talked or had problems with teeth like what I have within this last little while. But aside of that I truly enjoyed the weather that has come for this time of the year as within the last two years we have had rather harsh seasons. Where right now this is all fine by me. Pending on where you are the end of October us usually the benchmark time to that change that comes along with the white stuff. Yet here when I returned from Montreal there really wasn't a summer at all there was more rain that had taken place within that last thirty years.  Some enjoy just taking it easy, I do enjoy that but at the same time I truly love getting out and especially right now taking in as much as one can.

I am not sure about you, but have you noticed how dark it gets so early now. There has been such a drastic change it seems within the last two weeks it came to be noticeable to me. And this is where I do have to say I have the greatest admiration to those that live within climate structures are without one season that's fine by me.

Man I just went out on the porch and it's 7:30pm here and it's pitch black outside.

Within A Mighty Month of October

Merely a group of shots taken within the first week of this very month. They are just as they are. October within the first week might be might as the sun comes within and leave so fast but at the peak of the moments there is that grand sun that is of a feel of everlasting. These are a compilation of just some that have been taken within this time of the year which is not as nice as it is but it’s fine by myself as within the time of thanksgiving it may be a time in which we are thankful for more things than just one.

The History of Thanksgiving in Canada

In Canada, where the harvest generally ends earlier in the year, the holiday is celebrated on the second Monday in October, which is observed as Columbus Day in the United States. In Canada, Thanksgiving is only a three day weekend, and the holiday is not as important as in the US. Because of the shortened break, there is far less travel during Canada's Thanksgiving and it is far harder for families to come together. As a result, Christmas is therefore the more family oriented of the two holidays. Additionally, while the actual Thanksgiving holiday is on a Monday, Canadians might eat their Thanksgiving meal on any day of that three day weekend. This often means celebrating a meal with one group of relatives on one day, and another meal with a different group of relatives on another day. In addition, the early date means the weather is generally warm enough in many regions that it is completely ignored and becomes a day of recreation or going to the cottage as opposed to a family gathering.

Canadians trace the holiday to a feast held by Martin Frobisher in Newfoundland in 1578. It is also probable that American loyalists who immigrated to Canada after American independence brought with them many of their Thanksgiving traditions. The Thanksgiving celebration was held occasionally in English areas of British North America in the eighteenth century, especially in Nova Scotia. The holiday rose to a much greater prominence with the arrival of the United Empire Loyalists fleeing the American Revolution. The holiday became entrenched in English Canadian society. The first official Canadian Thanksgiving Day was celebrated on April 5, 1872 in gratitude for the Prince of Wales' recovery from serious illness. The holiday was not officially recognized again till 1879, when parliament declared Thanksgiving to be an annual national secular holiday. The date was moved several times, finally being set on its current date (the second Monday in October) in 1957. For much of the period before 1957 parliament proclaimed the date annually.

What do you eat within the morning during the weekdays?

Thursday, October 7th

I was up earlier that what one would wish to be this morning. Seemingly I after just two weeks it's not easy stopping a medication such as a painkiller that I have been taking so I met with my dentist and I have to have some more work done next week then I can tapper down this. I don't know what happened with my these teeth however I have two root canals left to be done. So I look forward to just getting it all done. Thereafter doing a slow taper down and off this stuff. I guess there may be a difference between taking something for good medical reasons and then taking something just for the sake of taking.  This computer has been completed now formatted and all and I am glad this is done as it's not something that one really enjoys to do. I am not sure about you but I have always serviced my own computers since I can remember.

Outside of that I have been meaning to do two writings which each and everyday it's been rather busy. So my hopes are that I do get them done before the weekend. As of today the weather has been great for this time of year I don't have any pictures of recent but it's really been a time where we are getting very nice unexpected weather.

I guess this is my first post and the other day I was asked why I don't write more about my own personal life. I think we do but when it's appropriate. There are two writes I do hope to write about between now and Sunday. One is on Post Traumatic Syndrome and the other is about the history of Thanksgiving. As this weekend is a long weekend here in Canada. It shall be an enjoyable weekend as it's my father's birthday as well it might be a quiet Thanksgiving pending how everything is within my family but if the weather stays like this I do look forward to doing a few things this weekend.

On this Day in History - Lester B. Pearson Nobel Peace Prize Winner

On this day fifty years ago, Lester Bowles Pearson was honored with the 1957 Nobel Peace Prize for his vision, wisdom, perseverance and skillful success in establishing an international police force to resolve the 1956 Suez Crisis. In effect, creating the UN's first designated peacekeeping mission, and the blue print for the UN's now well-recognized role in peacekeeping and, subsequently, peace building as well.

Throughout his career and lifetime, Pearson was a strong advocate of the UN's role in peacekeeping, and in strong Canadian involvement in UN peacekeeping operations. He firmly believed that Canada had a responsibility, indeed a vital national interest, in active participation in any international activity that would lessen the chances of another world war, and in robust intervention to end ongoing conflict. As such, he was a strong and effective advocate for peaceful resolutions to several major international crises that faced the UN during his tenure as a leading Canadian diplomat - from the Korean War to the Suez Crisis to the Cyprus Crisis. Through his involvement in early UN conflict solving, both Pearson and Canada emerged with distinction.

In addition to his unwavering belief in the role of the UN in fostering international cooperation and peace, Pearson was a strong advocate for the UN's role in the very issues that can directly influence the delicate balance between peace and unrest - economic issues, social issues, development issues, human rights, and environmental degradation. His vision of a peaceful and cooperative world.

"Threats to global survival, though they are sometimes exaggerated in apocalyptic language which makes our flesh creep, are real. The prophets of doom and gloom may be proved wrong but it is a chilling fact that man can now destroy his world by nuclear explosion or ecological erosion." "The stark and inescapable fact is that today we cannot defend our society by war since total war is total destruction, and if war is used as an instrument of policy, eventually we will have total war. Therefore, the best defense of peace is not power, but the removal of the causes of war, and international agreements which will put peace on a stronger foundation than the terror of destruction." Pearson served as Canada's prime minister between 1963 and 1968. Pearson whom was always called Mike is among a small number of politicians who earned their stripes first in diplomacy. For younger people, I would imagine they know his name through the one of a few airports in Toronto called the Pearson International Airport.

The Oil Sands of Canada (if you have 2 minutes to read)...

When the oil industry answers it critics about whether we are running out of oil, the word Alberta normally comes into the conversation pretty soon. James Cameron made headlines last week visiting the oil sands, commonly known as the Tar Sands of Alberta. There were conflicting viewpoints regarding his visit. However a variety of government officials from Washington, England, China have visited the Canadian government over the past two weeks. China almost bought Canada’s Potash Corporation but then a gentleman by the name of Brad Wall, decided that he would not falter and sell them all off. Canada is the second largest supplier of potash within the world. However with James Cameron, some believe he has no business wading in on the subject of the environment versus the economy. Especially when it comes to the oil sands of western Canada. Others believe the Hollywood heavyweight can and should bring his influence to bear as other celebrities have with there own areas of interest. To list a few, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, and countless others including Steven Spielberg whom recently has been in conference with a famous scientist by the name of David Suzuki.  I have no problem with James Cameron voicing his opinion or even filming a documentary on the subject. Which is apparently within the works. All I would request is that it’s done within a manner that is not one sided as we are living within a world that is becoming very sided – if sided was a word. What I mean is that we are predominantly living within democracies, which are not governing by way of what we understand and regard as a democracy. governed by “sided” organizations, people, networks – I think you might understand what I mean.

When influential people with lots of clout take on an issue with high definition documentary films on something that’s near and dear to their hearts we should remember that they are going to produce a compelling story that reinforces their personal point of view. It’s one thing when celebrities try to help out victims of disasters such as in Haiti. It’s different when the issue isn’t black and white and there are two sides to the story. Yet when someone writes or takes on an advocacy to inform people, I find that it’s of up most importance in the way it’s accomplished. From a story to a film to take into account all side of the matter and render the solid facts is a thing that is of most importance. I believe Cameron is from Ontario.  As I had been several times to the oil sands of Alberta I thought that I would indicated that second to Saudi Arabia, Canada holds the largest supply of oil and natural gas within the world. I certainly am one for keeping this earth clean but at the same time we as a society shall always be reliant on these two commodities. Recently, there have been trips made to meet with the Prime Minister of Canada by various leaders and seemingly there is a new interest back to oil and natural gas as when the President came into the Oval Office he literally began to speak green and for the first time in 30 years you had people from Canada and all corners of the world for the first time being laid off and returning home.  Seemingly right now there are much more things that are much more important within this world and my hopes are that James Cameron does come out with a unbiased great documentary which shall inform so many people that really don’t know what the Tar Sands of Canada are all about.  Ironically in 1972 behind closed doors within the White House there was a meeting on where the military should set up a base from which to render it’s own natural gas. A person – relation very close to me was within this meeting and the place in which all agreed upon was the Tar Sands of Alberta and the untapped reserves of natural gas from Saskatchewan.

My own personal feelings are that we will always during the next one hundred years be dependant on oil and gas. And if so why not do it safely and on a continent such as Canada rather than Saudi Arabia. It certainly makes sense to me. As much as factually based information rather than preferential, one sided information.

We are within a point where we can maintain, preserve and respect this mother earth of ours while at the same time rendering the essentials of what we do need. If and when we start to hold back on each and every area to be politically correct – there will never be decisions made. I would rather start to see some decisiveness start to happen – rather than sitting on the fence with every situation to see if its’ politically correct. You can’t please all but if your mission is to do something that is deemed to be of benefit, with evidence that backs it up...

That's when I say – why not?

Something very worth thinking about and I do thank Summer for the link. As I do wish to write within this area within this week if time allows. Thank you Summer and to all the link is as follows: http://www.operation-emotionalfreedom.com/index-4.html

~ G R E E D ~

Temptations seemingly can provoke the worst within some. It can cause people who normally are honest to do something so outlandish and dishonest. A good example of this is a recent situation within the Lottery system.  As well, within the province of Ontario some Lottery retailers have deceitfully cheated to claim millions in lottery prize money.  Within Canada there’s a lottery system that spans right across all of the country and if you’re a winner, you don’t have to pay out any taxes on your winnings. The biggest story lately within Canada has to do with the police accusing a Toronto convenience store employee and his two children with the stealing of a ticket worth $12.5 million. ~ Pause Period ~

Lets see maybe a better car for that matter maybe two, head out on a jet to whereever one wishes and beaches and vacations Yeah 12.5 million is still big money. Ok I am over it...

To make matters worse, now that the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is searching for the rightful winner. Of course they’ve been swamped with dozens and dozens of callers claiming ownership of the ticket. I guess we’re supposed to believe that all these people bought a lottery ticket for the draw in question at that store but never bothered to really check their numbers until they learned there was $12.5 million up for grabs. It kind of gives new meaning to nothing ventured, nothing gained I suppose. Since the first cases of retailer fraud surfaced a while back I noticed that within most all convenient stores here there have been signs within instructions on how to write our names on the back of tickets we hand in for redemption of any winnings. I never much have worried lotteries or lottery tickets, or anything of that sort as I have never gambled or played the lottery literally within my life. Yet it is something when greed comes into play rather than just honestly playing the game and who know one might just win. But still there is something to be said for this word called greed. It does bring out some of the worst things within SOME.

Certainly we do wish to have things perhaps more is worth saying however, the means by which we obtain what we have might be something to consider. As within this case it certainly isn't a first nor is it a last. There is something to be said for what people will do and what tempts us - which I would think money is right up there.

Monday's are....

Well they can be good and sort of ya know Monday type of days. (Time to listen to Doris Day and "whatever shall be shall be, the worlds not for you too see" ~ not).

I went out after a good rest and with the temperatures being so well, I literally just headed out within sweats and a coat, as many do within the morning on a weekend.  So I went and met up with my cousin Caroline to have a coffee with her. Seemingly there is never anything that changes for her and what she is going through with men. But I just listen. Thereafter I decided there were a few things that I needed to get done. Which are now complete a few are for myself and then a few are for family. Needless to say my folks have dwindled over this last year. I don't wish to get within my family but that is just the way things are. I received a cell call from my friend Jim and pulled over and then we just talked and made a plan to do something for my folks. He was asking me why I was kinda speaking from the one side of my face and then I told him and thereafter he mentioned, "been there done that one." As he smiled I just thought to myself several things which came to mind....but......Then I headed to some areas and took some pictures and my how the trees are becoming so naked yet it's so warm for this time of the year. So Monday's are those days that are truly unpredictable one may have a few things on there agenda but most often a few get pushed to the next day and up here we are approaching Thanksgiving which will be taking place this weekend. I am not sure how well Mondays are for you. For me, there literally are times that I despise them right now, and then on the other hand with things of a surprise come up on a Monday it's most enjoyable. So really it's that thing of to each their own but look at the date. It's October 4th already do you really believe it?

Yet it's a good day for shining your sandals yeah...

A Few Pictures within an October Morning

Something went wrong here within my imports of this morning, they are very simplistic and are right around an areas around the river. What is known as the Meewasin Valley Authority governs all that takes place on the river, there can be no commericalization. The river divides and is the center of the city. There are five bridges the one that I obtain within here that is closed is under deliberation by way of the city as it's the oldest bridge from the 1800's and to modernized it takes one of four different plans the lowest costing the city 35 million and the highest costing 70 million.

So the leave are falling however there still is something nice with regards to this city the fastest growing city in all of Canada mainly due to the university as well as the amount of research that is done here combined with Potash, Oil, Natural Gas, Diamond Mines and all. So I do hope to get some more pictures within here as this was the first time in a while in really heading out with the intention to obtain an array.

Picture 291

As most of you know I had two back teeth extracted on this last Friday. Today was the first day that I was able to get out and actually I went out and all was good and yes the leaves have now fallen. I guess it comes to priorities however the weather was great needless to say and I took a few pictures some of which illustrate how fast things can change here. Needless to say, I made a visit quickly and then came home and was beat. I read and was told for two days to just take it very easy and to allow this all to mend and well I guess I paid a price. But I wish that I could have covered some of the areas that I wished to but you can only do what you wish to do. I will post them within my picture section although really it's merely a slight illustration but it is what it is.

Earlier today with all the mentions I really don't know what to say except thank you. That is with regards to all the writes, I really do appreciate the kind words. I enjoy this so much especially the reads and here we are again on a Sunday within the first week of October. This year especially it's flown by so fast. Seemingly as time goes on things move much faster as we "grow ahead".

Peace and the best of wishes,

Jack

~ The best relationship is not the one that brings together perfect people, but the best is when each individual learns to live with the imperfections of others and can admire the other person's good qualities. ~

~ That Significant Bond ~

Picture 092

I believe that most of us choose friends, both in real life, and online, who are lively minded, like-minded, engaging people. The Internet opens up a whole new world, and we get to meet people that we would otherwise never meet, from near and far. We get to meet people with amazingly similar interests, senses of humor, passionate viewpoints, etc. Some of these friends might be spread wide, geographically, but that does not diminish that special bond of friendship.

However, I have come to realize that friends do come and go, and that’s okay. People come into our lives at different times, for different reasons. Some stay awhile, and some cross your path for a short time. Some join you and walk a parallel path and even while the paths appear far apart, you still walk the same direction and maintain a distant friendship. Then, there are some who bring only negative or destructive energy into your life. I, personally, try to keep my life clear from this kind of negative influence. Yet, there is something to be gained from every experience. There’s something to be learned from each and every person we meet in life. Positive, or negative, I am grateful for whatever that person taught me.

We can’t hold on to friends, all we can do is to let the friendship take its course, whatever that course may be. If the friendship ends, we can be grateful for the time, and move on. There are a few that have left abruptly for reasons that I do not know of. Some I’ve known for a long time, and this, in particular, has left me feeling bewildered, and even a little hurt. I wish that we could have had a discussion about whatever it was that caused such an abrupt termination of what I thought was a friendship. But, evidently, this was not to be; thus I’ve moved on. May all that is good and wonderful in life be yours…I really do wish you well.

To my friends that are still with me, I do appreciate your friendship. I very much enjoy reading your blogs, and the interacting back and forth between friends. Thank you for the very distinct pleasure of getting to know each and every one of you! Now within the first weekend of October may we “stream” ahead within out thoughts within a manner that is from which is wrote above and the bonds that are achieved I find to be rather precious.

Your friend,

Jack

Thus far, I know I am on this ensure and oh last night I could have ate and ate and ate. I have never had it were one has gone the day before the procedure and there after without eating. So far so good, no bad migraines after the extraction and it's merely 7am here but am daring to have a 70% milk with a little coffee. So this is a good thing.

I will come back to my writing on what I mean from yesterday but I really had some questions with regards and still do with regards to the intentions within social networks. There are some great folk out there and then here are......well we know. I have found it hard when people just delete you because the belong to a certain group. And that is riddled within here, groups are fine however when a group has the intention...well lets skip that one. Everyone is an adult an is able to make there own free choices on people, if herd instinct prevails like cattle......it's time to moo over. If you know of some decent folk please do send them my way, this guy would wish to have some new friends as I never wish to experience what I have the last month and which still stays on going.

But I do have a question Below:

You can't please everyone, yet you can enjoy the collabaratives amounts friends.

delicious...Hollandaise sauce. I loved it so much I now put it on everything --- meat, toast, fish, vegetables,

Replied the dentist " Well Miss, better make up your mind fast so that I can accordingly adjust the chair."
