Change May be Taking Into Account All the Aspects

It’s the dawn of a new time. Right after eating supper I periodically am watching this democratic convention that is taking place. While at the same time we have seen the end of the Olympics take place and how then came and went out. We are living with so many things going on around us while at the same time we all have our own areas
of life.

Borak along with Biden seem to be something that does represent change. The two days ago while my computer went down I had read over a few things and then I had one of those areas of writings that I wish I was able to hold onto but the computer went down and I lost one of the writes that was on Global affairs.  I am neither Democrat nor

Republican. I look at what is taking place and it’s not only something that is going to be useful to United States – that is whom comes out as being president but it’s about how we all in a way are pondering what will be best and what will give rest to so many of the things that we have watched take place from all different parts of the world. It would be obvious that these are important times.  There is no doubt on that. Certainly we all want the best in our own lives but yet there is a time to consider those things that can affect the lifestyle within our own sphere. I could write on the relationship between Canada and the United States and how important it is that we merge together in a way. Not only Canada but to think on a level that is with a regard to one's own country and yet realize how important certain decisions may be on an internal and external level. My feeling on international affairs is that education is paramount. In the manner that this time around I don't think anyone really trusts things and before any decision is made with respect to the election of a leader - it might be worth it to understand all the aspects that go along with the entire party.

Regardless of how you look at things we all are effected not only by what takes place within our own countries but as well what takes place in a variety of countries and right now if there is one great time that history is in the making. I do believe it’s now.

I was a young teenager and there was a time I won't forget. I just came to mind here tonight while seeing the beginning of this Democratic Campaign...The family went to church for the first time.  As I have mentioned earlier I was raised catholic.  So here we went to church for the first time and the father commonly known as a priest was an older man. The priest came up to us and welcomed us. You knew he was old and probably ready to retire. Just my thoughts in retrospect I suppose. But he asked my father where he was from. My father indicated that he was originally from the town that he first retired in which was a small town in Saskatchewan. Thereafter the priest asked my father what he did. I will never forget that time. My father indicated conservatively yet proudly what he had done as he had just retired from the Air Force and it was astonishing when the father came back with a retort indicating that was a lost cause.

I am sure you can imagine as a 15 year old I was just standing there wondering what would happen. And then my father extended his hand out to the priest and said to him “Father if it was not for the people like myself that protect by way of the military, quiet possibly you wouldn’t have the ability to be doing what you do.”  The priest had no response but it was obvious that he knew what my father meant. This was during the cold war. We live in a very different time now.

Most all of us have our rights. We live by way of understanding that we are able to live the way we do. And we have seen so much that we look at things in a different manner than we did just a few years ago. It’s a precious thing and I don’t think we all really come to understand it unless we have taken the time to look at what we enjoy, what we have, what we are able to obtain. I am not pushing any politics – I just sincerely find these are very important times in which we don’t want a repeat of history where a few generations back things were much different. I do believe that the slogan that Borak uses one that is really what we are looking at from several ends of the world. For those in United States whom ever you vote for is your own choice. Within that choice when this tiresome campaign is all over with. I think that not only will the people of United States be more pleased that it’s all over with and there is a new administration but a variety of people in several nations will be as well.

Change is a fine thing.  Sometimes change is taking into account all the aspects before making a judgment or decision.

~ There is one thing I would like to mention and I know she keeps a low profile but there is a good friend of mine that resides in Ohio and she knows whom she is and I wish her a very Happy Birthday. ~

  1. Well said, Jack. When faced with two poor choices, which way do you turn. We shall see how this all works out.

  2. Yeah I hope for the best. As mentioned I do keep in contact with friends that I grew up with and although I have not had the time to call them, one of which is in Florida. It's a time that many watched the olympics and there will be a time in which the world does watch to see what happens. I like Obama and Biden, I am not into the length that this entire campaign has taken but when November comes around. The world will be watching. Probably more so than the past olympics.

As this will be a time that does redefine whom we are and where we go in the next eight years again. In United States, Canada, Australia, England, most all countries in some manner will be effected. But as mentioned I do believe that American's have the first right of making that decision well you have the entire right. But it will effect several things and I hope for the best, and I certainly do hope that it's a new era. One that supercedes the previous eight years of an two very different leaders that will go down in the history books as not ....well I think you know what I mean.

We have luxuries of our own lifestyles. Thus we wish to keep theme.

  3. Thank you as it really is. I don't see this as a political statement I see it as a worth that we all wish and desire to have. Change is something that usually always does take place in life. Sound judgments do give way to something I see as refining what can be. Thank you and welcome.

  4. There is always a stage in our lives that change happens but do know when this happens? No..It's part of human nature.
The nation needs to be reminded that we are one nature..despite all the problems in our world today..the Olypmics very well represent how we all should except one another..except one another despite our differences,..just like change except it..I notice some people never do but that;s just them and we should never get mad at them..that's them..that's what they dont want to accept.
The statement your Father told the priest is so true..if it wasnt for the military the priest would not be able to do what he was doing..just like us..if it wasnt for the many women and men protecting our country..
This is a awesome post Jack! I love the read!

  5. The Olympics were great as China had jailed 8 protestors for demonstrating. I think the USA should have used that opportunity to shed light on the inhumane treatment of those people and release them in the name of good will for the games. Change is good, but if the USA is attacked, I want someone with experience and the where with all to fight for me...Not so sure the liberal senators have my best interests at heart....

  8. There is a spanish name for that I forget right now wht that is but within latin and espanol, there is a wording that you are speaking here about Cyn. I suppose there would be several words for it as there is in the aboriginal and native american cultures as well. But.....

Yes, most are right now as it's been a trickle effect and impact on what has taken place within the great USA. I can't emphasize that enough. But it's very true. The Olymics were. Here we find a communist country that played one of the best stages of the Games in years. But then again China is and has been breaking new ground in a slow manner. But they seem to be slowly doing it in there own way. Russia, the government - we can't do anything about that unless there are alliances. But as in the cold war the last option is to strike. 8 years ago someone just struck a country without that diplomacy and backing of alliances. So I think change is something important as you say. The story regarding my father is a true story. It was a roman catholic church (the only one) in a small town called Yorkton. My mother and father were both from there and left there to be married. I was born in Halifax, and two weeks later I was back in America. Thank you for posting your comments - I Thank you!

  9. I don't. With all respect the Olympics are placed on this globe for a reason looneyspeaches. I say that with respect. China is not the only country that is being inhumane. Look at Africa and what is going on right this very second.

However - change is good. The United States will never be attacked. There is a missile defence program that is set up and I don't think that you would believe me if I told you that half the stockpile of machinery, missiles that work are in Canada. There are two place that share something in concert it's Boulder Colorado and North Bay, Ontario. Biden knows this, he has been here several times, not to mention that Borak's brother in law lives in New Brunswick.
But what is most important is the smiles of people applauding the champion of the olympics - for example the gent that took the most medals in the history of the Olympics. Those are the smiles as well as contentment we should be feeling within what take place in the next term - not right away but within time.
Thank you and I do believe in advocacies, but I truly feel that the Olympics are set up for one things only. Yet I can say that and our Prime Minister in Canada never went - as he wanted to show his feelings on what China is as a contradiction of the Olympics.
I know a slight friend that went to see them here from Alberta. I would die to have a few of his pictures. Thank you.

  11. Leticia you have travelled and you make home to two countries. Thialand and United States. I think you would understand what I am trying to say here. Without it being a politic.
Maybe the best what to state it is something that was used in the 70's by John Lennon and the song I believe had these lyrics, "All we are saying is give peace a chance."
