Not a reminder but a return. Of nasty old winter.
I have never seen it where at this time of the year a blizzard happens. This started on Friday evening and then leading right up to Sunday. Everyone is already dressed for spring and it’s just not supposed to happen like this.
I am not sure where this Global warming effect it happening but it sure does not seem to be taking place here. I had planned on taking this weekend to get some pictures in different areas but when you have to dig out what you just placed away. It leaves much to be considered. I think all over this year we have had weather that has not been the normal trend.
The one thing I hate with a passion is wet feet. So, in preparation for whatever happens Monday I have my winter boots and shovel in the back of my vehicle. So that is the kind of weekend it has been in my area of the world. And everyone seemingly wishes that it was much different to what has come upon us.
But hopefully this will all be melted by tomorrow but it really seems that we are in for one week of colder weather again, and here just three days ago it was feeling much like spring.
G'day Jack,
ReplyDeleteCould this be why the saying is usually, "she's wet or cold or hot" the female is known for being volatile & always changing her mind lol
Wow, Jack, as much as you hate the white stuff, I am sure this was a bummer of a weekend. Haha, I am almost certain "global warming" is something created for people to have fits over than a real happening. The weather has always ran hotter, or colder, at times. We just used to didn't hear about every little "happening" in every corner of the world and all points in between.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Muzzy, I am positive weather is a female and an indecisive one at that.
Hope spring finds you neck of the woods again, soon.
Well, here at the other end of Canada, our 6 month long winter has finalled come to an end. What little snow was left is now gone thanks to the sunshine we've been having for the past three days. The forecast is also nice and warm for the whole week.
ReplyDeleteWe are just putting our winter stuff away now and I think I'll be able to pack my boots and just wear shoes. You're wondering where your spring went and we're finally getting outs.
You're right, the weather has certainly been strange these past few months. it's not how it usually is, that's for certain.
Global warming - I ponder that one!
ReplyDeleteYes, you are exactly the opposite in climate as your 3000 miles away and you had all this just up to two weeks ago. We were just in the clear in the West and then it came back!
ReplyDeleteAnd as well in Oregon and other states in the upper west portion of America. It's strange!
Northern Sask has received a new snow cover that is more than they had all winter. We have a freezing rain warning down south here and the temps are going to be in the single digets only for the week after hitting a record high last Thursday of 28. Oh, well. We've had snow in July.......and almost always on the May long weekend.
ReplyDeleteHello to you there in Saskatchewan, I used to live there.
ReplyDeleteHello to you there in Saskatchewan, I used to live there.
ReplyDeleteWhat made you leave?? *L*
ReplyDeleteI have been all over Canada and United States, I had two parents with cancer and for my own health I moved after I did what I needed to do for them....Saskatoon - is the fastest growing city in Canada as well was considered the best city statistically for five years in a row..by the United Nations. Ironically that all changed four years ago, but it's a great place you live in - Despite the winters - however it does go up to 80/90F in the summer pending on where you live as it's the size of Texas. So it's a large province as most are in Canada with the exception to Newfoundland.
ReplyDeleteRegardless we all are from all different countries and today's date this was the way it look from my part of the world.
ReplyDeleteOr she is dry and then very very very cold! lol :)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are so chilly there. It was in the low 80s here today, I got a touch of sunburn working in the garden. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteShall do in one week - much warmer. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteit happened here too..we were preparing for the dry season but there were heavy and pouring rain last weekend..
ReplyDeleteit may be the Global Warming effect
I can remember one winter when I was a child that we dressed like it was summer on Christmas Day...and as a young adult I recall a summer we were wearing coats well into July. Nobody was yelling global warming back in those days...it was just considered mother nature being herself and rarely predictable.
ReplyDeleteWell then it should be warmer! :) Canada could use the negative side of the effect. Kidding....It's a strange weather.
ReplyDeleteI know we will only know if this global effect is really the case in 100 years from now. Or if it's just a natural cycle.
ReplyDeleteNow everything is green. Who knows...
