It's Late

But not too late to write something short.

We all have our work, the place that we go to each and everyday. If I may say, hold on to what you earn and at the same time don't save for a rainy day. Balance it all out and enjoy life. How many we have seen those that have held on to nearly all thier earnings for a rainy day.

It makes good sense to save and to have a foundation of security. But at the same time don't let life stand still for years as you never know what will come about. These are not rules of life, these are ways of life.

Money is a means, and nor an end. Unless it you spend beyond your means. Utilize it in a manner that fits what you do and desire to spend it. And follow your dreams.

The reason - what you earn is for yours to do as you deem fit...

  1. Great advice, Jack! I think it's a good idea to try to have savings but not to the point you never do anything today. It's sad to see people who work hard all their lives and save every penny they can only to have others benifit but never themselves. Nothing wrong to want to leave a little something behind for your offspring and other family members but those who work hard should reap the benifits and enjoy them themselves too.

  2. I think it is important to please yourself once in a while. One of the reasons we work is to have enough to enjoy a hobby, travel, offer a gift, go to theatre or a show, others will like to dine & wine, buy a summer house. Whatever it is, it makes the economy go around, creates other jobs. Make allowance for pleasure, sounds like a good idea Jack.

  3. G'day Jack,
I agree totally, I was once told that what’s the point on depriving oneself of the benefit of what you have worked for as there are no pockets in shrouds

  4. My hubby has said more than once "there's no point in being the richest person in the cemetary"
There is a good balance no matter how much one earns. Spend a little, save a little and live.
