Meeting a Person of Worthiness

From a car accident which left here as a paraplegic. In many ways, I see her as a person, which really would be of the sort to be on one of these websites like ted.com.

She has that will and no matter what nothing shall come within her way. I am sure that over the span of five years, this probably did take much – yet her determination took here to where she is now. Merit is something, which is so often wrote about. I believe she instills what we all deem as belief. As her belief, structure took her to where she is now. There was much more with this but she rendered the ability to walk her talk. She does not think of the past and what is lost she thinks more of what is of opportunity. What a privilege. When you think you have it so bad this might be up there with that appreciation of goals.

She is the top of my charts without any apprehension. She thrives within her life her first name is Becky and I believe she certain has done many things and survived many hardships to get to where she is now.

Kudos to her...

Medicinal Monday One

It was a very busy day in going from one hospital to another as I had check ups that were done. All is good and while going from Royal University Hospital to City Hospital I took my camera along as it's been a while since I have done as such.

Regardless the outcome was good. That is what is of most importance.

Robot surgery pair creates History

Meet Robot DaVinci and Robot McSleepy.

The DaVinci surgical robot a world first of it's kind. A completely robotic surgery and anesthesia have been recently started to be performed at the McGill University Health Centre.  The DaVinci surgical robot, which allows surgeons to work from remote locations, was put to work this summer within Montreal.  Whereas the anesthesia robot, nicknamed McSleepy, has been providing automated anesthesia since 2008.  The two combined to perform the first all robotic surgery on a patient at the Montreal General Hospital.

The collaboration between DaVinci, a surgical robot, and anesthetic robot named, McSleepy seems to be a tremendous fit robots in medicine can provide health care of higher safety and precision, thus ultimately improving outcomes for patients,” said Dr. Hemmerling of McGill University who is also a neuroscience researcher.

The DaVinci allows surgeons to work from a workstation using all the operating surgical instruments with as delicate movements of fingers with a precision that cannot be provided by humans.  Teams of surgeons operate the robotic arms from a dedicated workstation via video with unsurpassed three dimensional high definition imagery.  With unparalleled quality.  An automated anesthesia delivery via McSleepy guarantees the same high quality of care every time it is used.  McSleepy, which was invented in 2008, can literally configure exactly to the specific needs for each and every patient that is undergoing a variety of surgeries by an ordinary surgery or of the likes of a robotic surgery.  Anesthesia has finally caught up.

Combining both robots, allows for faster, safer and more precise surgery.  DaVinci literally has made medical history and how we are going forward within these areas of medicine.  Here again this fascinates me and I would have loved to have seen this place or at least take pictures of this but just imagine where an operation can take place from thousands of miles away with tremendous precision.

Fascinating...

Robots will not replace doctors but help them to perform to the highest standards.

More than Pleased !

The best thing is the end of pain, but not by way of a narcotic, however there was a time where literally this had happened before as well as I had what was thought to be a rotar cuf that needed sugery. As soon as I had all things simmered down - I literally walked my talk. Of course now I am three years older but the same situation happened again. Today before all was done another doctor came in and from internal medicine and then my GP was called so first thing is to have this tooth fixed or see if the infection leaves - then on the 20th of the month my legs will have these injections. So better late than never. I knew this time would come, and when you leave from one province within Canada you start right back within the system. So I am glad that this has all been done and look forward to a few days if that without the pain that I had - little did I know I had a viral infection that must have started two weeks ago. But it all works out....So I am elated as I thought that this was a situation that was going to be with me for the rest of my life and often I wouldnt say much about it but finally it's all good. So its' not so much about killing pain but rendering the fast and right procedure and then getting back on with it. So that is that and I am glad for this. More than you know I really do mean that!

As I shall run again and I shall train again, but most importantly I guess I tended too long with family matters where now this is my time. It's one thing to be in vain, it's another to be pleased with onself especially when it comes to health. Just imagine being at the point where your in so much pain that you can't do anything within the night due to legs and that has been for nearly two years now.

Hence, I am more than pleased.

Life is Precious

Gosh there are so many things I wish to write about tonight. I will be heading back into the hospital on this coming Monday. I hope that the writes do come out alright as we are on a social network but at the same time as I just had a nap a while ago I am really pondering on things to write about. At this time I wish to mention that with regards to the friends that are our there I did have a larger accident than before but it all works out. Unfortunately the new camera that I had was ruined in the accident and well that is the last thing that one does need to consider.  We survive. It's a basic instinct of mankind.  We are challenged regardless I know that there is that time in which we come out of it looking at things in a different manner. Some could have much anger yet I don't. I literally was going to make a few new songs here but I will get to it right now just using this new keyboard might just be enough for me. I could be all worried about the outcome of all of this but I am not I literally find that when things happen and I am sure that set oneself back, it's only temporary. So I guess I have my work cut out for me but at the same time it's a challenge. Seemingly, I thrive on them and there may be more to it as I do have my own structure of faith and integrity.

When I left my last write just before the 18th in which the accident happened I remember we were talking about Haiti. But I wished to than each and everyone that has been a friend here. I do mean that. Some will like you and some won't I have learned that all too much within live but what I enjoy most of all is the embarking between people on here as it's an enriching thing. Some might think that this has all been a hoax however no it's not as far as what has taken place but I do wish to write on a few things over this weekend and if - big if - I can place together a song I shall but I am pretty much home bound right now but before you know it I shall be forging ahead in a great way. So lets see here...I might need a new car, I might need a new camera, but I do and will have my health.

I was on the highway heading out to take some pictures and some young kid rammed into my car from the back end at a speed that again totalled off my car as well as ambulances and paramedics were on the scene. With that all said, I have been offered a walker but I won't take it as I am working my legs and wish to do my part in bring back my health.  There really is something to be said about the drivers especially young drivers these days. However where I stand is that it did happen for a reason as I am making good reasons for it.

Authentically,

Jack

Determination, Resilience, and Healthiness

I was going over my old blog of Y360 and was looking at a few things that I had wrote on and it’s funny how some thing don’t change. In reflection of it all I can see that I am very persistent in what I do. Some things have changed slightly probably in the course of one year but not all that much. For myself that is.

I think we all go through cycles in life in some manner. Things go up and there are areas that revolve around the things that we really don’t have much control over. But I do believe in taking heed of what I can do. Not in what I can’t do.  One that I am staying convicted to what I am doing for myself with training. I am not a trainer that trains to be really big if you know what I mean. My training is geared towards agility and cardio. As we get older we find things that come up. And in seeing what I have seen within my own family with Cancer, this was the turning point for me that took me back into something that I have done since I was a child. But as an adult it's different, you train around the areas to improve your health. Certainly when I was younger I trained without a regard to anything but just doing it. Now I do it in a certain style and manner for health's sake.  Which is not work, it's actually fun.

Health does benefit one in so many ways. And once one has embarked on something most often if they stay with it - it become a healthy routine. A few months ago I could not hardly do a thing and now I am doing it. Am I returning back to where I was before, no I might surpass that but in a slower manner. As one friend mentioned a few times "I am whom I am". And in a time in which we live in a rather “I” society, I believe that there are times that one does come first.

Where does a trail lead – I think that all depends on what each person believes in and what ever gets him or her “there” so be it. It’s a time of people maybe over thinking things and I know I have done this especially with things that I have lived with for several years – but it’s not about the time lost or the loved ones that will not be around much longer – it’s about what life has to offer in the future. And regardless of what age you are – there is always time. That is if one desires it to be so. I know I do, and I know that my path took a drastic change with cancer within my family, and I came back last week learning some things again shared between my father and myself. I am the youngest in my family and yet it seems I am the keeper of my family. But I wish to spread my wings and fly. And that does not come all in one day. But it does come.

Knee Injuries - Health Matters

Well I just arrived home and way back some of you may have knew that I had some troubles with my legs. It was a time I first wrote some things on this blog. And after meeting with my doctor for what I thought would be the last time. I am on call for and one MRI, and then within the same day I will be having two things done. One will be an injection of a substance between my knee joints and the other small things of some sort that will be implanted to replace cartilage from what I understand.

I was going to take a direction with what I was doing but now that this is all in place as of this morning. I am on call, and the sooner the better this takes place.  I don't know how many have dealt with pain. But this is one that happened during my times on y360, and finally after almost six months. I will be having this done.  I had changed doctors in the midst of January when I was working inside and outside within the Airports and there was a slip that I did within an inspection. Thereafter for those that don't recall, I had not made the team. As I fractured my left leg over and above what already required medical attention.

There have been many things going on in my world here. I have not taken any picture or anything, as there comes a point in the day where I have to rest my legs. That sounds so old. Each of my uncles had knee replacements from my mother side. I don't need that, as I am too young but finally after all this time I am able to have done what I require so that I have a return back of mobility.

I look so forward to this being done.  And am glad for finally getting to this point today. Last year this time I was running. This year I thought it was depression or stress. So far so good and I hope this all takes place as said as I am really starting to disbelieve in doctors. I had called my old doctor from another city yesterday and then I was ready to leave this weekend if he called to say all was in place for me.

Meanwhile, I am making the best of this, the cold in this basement of this house makes if very hard on the legs – but I have a heater and now and then I pull out the laptop. I could write more. I am happy and relieved that this is all coming to some finality. As then I can get back on with it!  One thing down....a few to go. I was prescribed a pain killer and I took it into the pharmasist and I am going to leave it for a day or two as I have worked around this for a considerable time frame so far. So with this being done shortly, then I will be back to a place that I enjoy and will be doing the things that I love as well as work.

Till then, I do take a rest in the middle of the day just to allow the legs to relax and I just let things go - when it comes to pain.  Embracing it is so often what I have done, if it was not for today - I would be taking a new direction.

Actually an amendment to what I wrote - I still am taking a new direction. After some things however that all said - I am attending to this first.
