Picture Perfect - Urban Decay

 

This week’s theme as well as competition within Picture Perfect is Urban Decay.

Now here is one that I have only one time did I see something and had a camera at hand. However I don't have many pictures that are about the decay of society coupled with the fact that there are bylaws that are enforced here very stringently. However here is another from Montreal.  Yet it could be any city of country within this industrialized world.

After a nights end there was some area that there was debris left all over. Bylaws are enforced pending the status of the government or the city and what they set up. As far as buildings some cities have it where a buildings can’t be left, the fact remains that there will always be decay. Although Canada is a rather clean country with most provinces and municipalities having very stringent bylaws and law enforcement that makes this rather difficult – unless one does wish to go looking for something that could be trouble within the decay of society. So this is my picture for Urban Decay, it's the trash that is left on the streets after a night and it's rather shocking to see how much is thrown out as it is a composed of left over food, bottles of all food and all types of alcohol beverages. Meanwhile there are people living on the top of confectioneries, restaurants, and they just literally get by from day to the next - it happens within each and every city (urban).

That to me is the decay of our society as we never take notice that there are people that for several reasons would do anything to have a good meal, meanwhile what wastage there on the streets. Urban decay has two sides to it. Those that are within poverty and those that are taking subways into town and thereafter enjoying a meal that easily goes from $50.00 dollars and with some it winds up being $300.00 dollars easily. Meanwhile others are trying to make ends meet. I would never take a picture of someone that is homeless. I don't think it's an ethical area within this theme called, Urban Decay. There are some ethical questions within this theme. Certainly so...

This is mine and we often look at what we have but we never take into regard the waste and what others don't have regardless of why or what the case may be.

We just walk on by...

Picture Perfect ~ Competition Time #1 ~ Juxtaposition ~

This was taken while I was within Montreal. There was so much culture to be seen there and while for the second time I headed into the city I literally took my time in trying to get as many pictures as I could. This picture to me is precious as when you were in Montreal you would see so many great old buildings.

What I loved about this picture is that you there stood a very old and large church meanwhile right behind it was a modern skyscraper. The lighting was right, the two buildings were side by side. This is my submission within this them of Juxtaposition as there is a relevance and contrast of two vary different buildings built in very different times in history. The Church was built within the 1800's while the other was built within our modern age. The two contrasted in size, purpose as well as size.

Picture Perfect - Under My Nose

A little late here with this post with regards to a picture for the theme which is under my nose. So I thought I would post this one but when I first read the picture I thought of food, the Rolling Stones, and yeah my nose! However recently what was under my nose was ``the catch of the day``. We went fishing within this man made lake here Quebec and this is my submission.

Now when all was done with fishing yesterday I when I saw what was being done to these Trout and the smell I definitely knew what was under my nose. So here is my picture it`s anything but typical. But believe you me you could smell right under your nose this. :)

 

A wise man once said never look into the eyes of a dead fish as you will have fishy things that happen to you. Now I looked away as fast as I could but you could certainly smell this right under your nose.

Picture Perfect ~ 'Cuisine'

The theme this week is

C U I S I N E

Cuisine (from French "cooking; culinary art; kitchen"; ultimately from Latin coquere, "to cook") is a specific set of cooking traditions and practices, often associated with a specific culture. It is often named after the region or place where its underlining culture is present. A cuisine is primarily influenced by the ingredients that are available locally or through trade. Religious food laws can also exercise a strong influence on cuisine.

A traditional cuisine is a coherent tradition of food preparation that rises from the daily lives and kitchens of a people over an extended period of time in a specific region of a country and which has notable distinctions from the cuisine of the country as a whole. Yes this is the first of several morning courses that I prepare within the morning as it does take time in the making. One has to nurture coffee or cafe au lait and then what comes next...maybe I may place another on upon my return this later. Cuisine is something that is an art. At 5 in the morning this is how I do get my start. Yet one has to know exactly the right ingredients to ensure that the tastes is good as they say in french - Cèst bon. It`s my own morning karma meal, you add 5% cream, a tad of honey, and let the grains of the beans rise to a temperature of hot! :). Then leave it to be and sit back and relax and get prepared to make the real course for the day. History illustrates that most of the best cooks within the world often started the first course behind in the kitchin with this very preperation. And the flavour is pending what you wish it to be. Thereafter followed by what comes after. Yes it`s simple yet its very enjoyable and has been prepared in most every country by many people each and every year. How I start my own cuisine is first with the preperation of this very concoction. It`s not that easy yet one or two cups and it`s a commencing of the day.

Picture Perfect #6 ~ Sound ~

The theme for Picture Perfect this week is:

S O U N D

This was done last winter as I walked within a session of a few. For myself music is something that resonates throughout each land. I like many have played for years as well within my earlier years recorded and toured, now and then over the past seven years I have come to just love producing and just enjoying music.

There is not one day within our lives that sound is not involved. Lyrical content is much like poetry I am not sure if there is a difference between the two. Yet within sound is a harmony that truly enriches "the art" of life. I have never seen one person that could ever go without sound. Sound is so many things but yet for myself it's always been very close to my heart. I will post a past lyric if this is alright.

You were sitting and I was thinking
Of all the times that we have been spending around
The situation could only get better
And I never uncovered
