The Queen's Diamond Jubilee - it's most interesting to read as this takes place which includes so much information & includes virtual tours of a Buckingham Palace as well as others. And within my reading these have not been privy to the public till this celebration. It's good to be Queen! One leads into another:

  2. The 'flotilla' on the Thames today (Sunday) should have over 1,000 boats and ships taking part. However it is raining quite heavy which is typical of our weather this time of year.....................Mike..

  3. Yes and everyone sucks it up and goes about their day. My guess people will still bundle up and take a peek.

  4. So much to celebrate, while there are people who are doing without. I can see holding a party to celebrate the queen's milestone, but for days?

Thanks for sharing the link, Jack, for the virtual tour. It may be the closest people will get to seeing the real thing. ;) ~ Blessings!

  5. The Katie Couric special last week was great. It gave awesome insight into "where" she came from... back in WW 2 she worked in a factory supplying to the war effort. Obviously she was not queen then... and actually she wasn't in line for that until her uncle married that American woman and it changed the order of things.. Interesting history.
