On the Eve of Canada Day

I never knew much regarding Canadian History if it was not for my father whom was first and foremost a Canadian and as proud as they come about Canada and its history. Within my youth upon my father’s retirement, which lead to returning into Canada I was placed into a private academy in Northern Ontario by the name of Scollard Hall. At the time it was a huge transition for myself yet it was my beginnings of learning within a Canadian manner – if that is an appropriate way to write it.

There is a great diversity to Canada the diversity is in a manner which I have always found to have no definition – the reason for my saying is that Canada in the past never had laws within it’s immigration. From a country named a Dominion to later on be called Canada. To define a country is rather difficult to place a finger on as from Newfoundland to British Columbia there have been changes which leads into where Canada is going. Most would summarize what this country by way of comparables to our neighbor within the United States. Yet Canada is growing and with it’s growth there has been a rise in immigration over the last two years of the likes that Canada has never seen – that says something. Mind you at the same time Canada has placed very strict immigration policies. Which if someone wishes to be a Canadian they do have to know in depth what the foundation and history of this country is. I have always believed in the manner that Canada is very cultural. As well, I believe within immigration which has skyrocketed of recent does need to have a stringent process with new Canadians.

In the past I have wrote on Canada as a rather unknown country. Yet within the last five years I have seen more changes in accord to the lands and the people. Within international affairs Canada has been a well known as a peaceful nation. Canada recently was rated as the 4th most peaceful nation in the world. The economy of Canada has probably faired out very well when you consider all that has taken place over the last ten years. Which leads me to the thought that Canada shall have more of a presence in world affairs – while at the same time maintain a manner of what is Canada.

On the eve before July 1st which Canada celebrates it’s birthday. There are some very noteworthy things which Canada has done, yet the commonalities are within more of a leisure bond. As Canadians (those whom I have know) never take themselves too serious. Yet literally across the lands tonight and within the cities there will be Canadians which are singing the national anthem as well as enjoying things in a prideful manner. Some of the historical people I have enjoyed are Lester B. Pearson, Alexander Graham Bell, Tommy Douglas, Oscar B. Peterson, Pierre E. Trudeau, David Suzuki, Allison Morrisette, Bryan Adams, Rush, Samuel Bronfman. As well by default, I have always been proud to those whom I have known within the military, with a slight bias for the Air Force.

Everyone within Canada has some thing which they find this nation to be. Canada still retains a humble manner yet Canadians do celebrate what once was called Dominion Day – which now is a weekend of celebration called, “Canada Day”.

Canada is Diverse on a day which is that of celebration. There are more words from which to say but it's a great land, one of which I do cherish. For those which have enjoyed the collage I have loved this land and where Utopia is - is where one plants there feet. I do feel fortunate to be live within this country as it's a charm which I have been privy to see from one shore to the other. One summary which comes to mind is it's non chalante and most of all peaceful with capacities which only to feel and see are that within worth.

  4. It's a big beautiful country on the whole. I always have been fascinated with it. I hope they will watch carefully that they have good clean healthy growth. Growth isn't bad if they watch that well. This is where many countries failed, I think--they didn't watch that - and it does hurt the land. I believe many have more room than they think for both humans and animals but it requires clean orderly healthy growth to stay that way.

I didn't know Canada had a birthday. Happy Birthday

  5. Yet this here is a old utube from Tom Browkaw whom defined
Canada and America so well. This is great as it really tells the
relations and Tom made this back prior to the Winter Olympics.

Yet it still stands as well as he put it. This is the manner which
I do find Canada in the words which he mentioned here.

    It's a Canadian way...

  6. From the Olympics Shane Koyczan tapped on something which
never has been the likes of before. Canada Timelord had placed his
words as they are great and this is a old take which came to be
apart of the theme of Canada as it had touch many Canadians.

  7. Rick Mercer whom is one which satires Canada so well as
Canadians do have that witty side and we can laugh at large
on whom we are. Mercer does this extremely well.

I am not sure if you knew that there are two versions of "This Land is your Land, This Land is My Land".

    Maybe not, so...

  13. I do wanted to go to Alberta for the nursing association presentation. It was put on by the CAHN and the ACHN at medicine hat . I didn't realize how expensive the flights would be!! I'll plan better next time. They have a book coming out that I'm anticipating "caring and compassion; a history of the sisters of St. Ann in health care in British Columbia".

  14. We've made few trips into Canada - around Lake Erie, the train ride from Calgary to Vancouver and several trips to Vancouver. Loved every one of them and always felt at home. Most of the people we spoke with knew instantly we were Americans and treated us as family. I look forward to returning as soon as my Beloved Husband can travel again.

Lake Erie is in Canada and USA, Vancouver is nice. Sure Canada has some cultural differences but I think it's more within the person. Needless to say Canada just is.
    In lack of better wording.
