I came across this picture which is apart of a book it literally blew me away to see this.
~ Those where The Days ~
Back some seven years ago I had did a search within my ancestory within ancestory.com. I was amazed to find that there was a book which was made as with my last name my grandfather placed and "i" embetween the "a" and "n". Yet there are some stangers which are from several places and many do have the "stainger" name.
I am not an inigma as many go with different names just for there own privacy.
Yet last night when I was just doing some searching around I found came to find it too interesting. I had done a entire ancestory tree back at this time and I have distant relatives which are from Australia and New Zealand. As they where my grandfather's two brothers came to Canada and decided to keep the name "Stanger" and both went to New York and then to Australia and New Zealand.
William Stanger went back and forth to South Africa from New Zealand for some reason I believe he was a mission or he had done some justice within South Africa as in South Africa there is a town which some tribal chief had honored him as there is a town in South Africa named "Stanger"
Who are these people Jack?
ReplyDeletei had the same thought as Rod.
ReplyDeleteTime flies, doesn't it? Good looking family portrait. A family history book?
ReplyDeleteDont know who they are?????
ReplyDeleteAre you John Jr?
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find it Jack, and what's the story behind it?
I am also curious to know what book you found the picture in, that it would be so surprising and blow you away...? --Or are you going to keep us in suspense? ;) ~ Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWow, I have the same questions as blicktx, ianevens2 & kathycustren.
ReplyDeleteI am just checking back to see if there was an answer to the question on everyone's mind. Is that a family photo? If so---is that you in the black suit? My sister-in-law sent me a wedding pic with me as the best man from 1969 and it "blew me away". So that is why my guess is that it is a family pick from "those were the days".
ReplyDeleteMyself and my older brother and sister and folks taken back sometime. Rodney I was browsing and I posted this on and then
ReplyDeleteheaded off to bed. Yet it was a surprise.
I didnt go through it ordinarily I was actually thinking of something else. Hence the way we were.
ReplyDeleteIt's my brother sister and myself and my folks Marty.
ReplyDeleteWell i was close, in a way with family pic.
ReplyDeleteYes I am John George Stainger Ian I have always gone by Jack.
ReplyDeleteThere is a book not kidding which comes out of Australia from what I recall. I know the picture very well it was right before a distant cousins wedding.
I can recollect it as if it was yesterday Ian.
I have been tired Kath yet I will - I am a private person and I don't just throw it all out there. There are no intentions to keep you in suspence I shall find
ReplyDeleteit.
Susan it's not a hoax I found that on the internet via this program combined with using google integrated.
ReplyDeleteI will see if I can find more as I do miss them all aside of other matters. What I do know is that the picture
and the book was one of a heritage one. I will look further.
No I am the one on the right in the grey suit that is my older brother Blaine on the left end.
ReplyDeleteInteresting find Jack. I've not had a surprise like that on the Internet...yet.
