This morning I headed down in the morning to just see what the weather was like within the morning. It had cooled down overnight and I thought that I would just take a walk. There were not too many folks out yet but it was nice to just take things in. The city certainly had come to be silent during this time and while I was down at the one dock of the riverbank there was this one older man that was just sight seeing the geese that have began to return. We got into a talk on preservation. It ends up that he is one of the directors of some preservation area for the province.It never ceases to amaze me with the people one runs into. It was cool yet it was nice just taking it all in.
Apparently at this time of the year the geese come back and are all in competition to find a mate.

ReplyDeleteIt was really a wonderful morning, just walking and admire the sorroundings and be with neighbours exchanging pleasantries. The wild geese a nice watched and those left part of you is a welcome treat also. Having a nice smiles here* Jack.

Mornings are so peaceful for a walk and you do find yourself taking in so much more while it is quiet.I had to chuckle because every year the Canadian geese fly right over our house like clockwork in the largest "V",it is a sight to behold every year as their headed home.There is no doubt when their coming you can hear them in plenty of time to get outside and catch the spendor.Thanks for sharing Jack.A blessed Good Friday to you.Rainbow*

ReplyDeleteI watched a group of ducks from the balcony last night at dusk. So funny. 4 drakes were after one lady duck down below in the parking lot. The drake 'escorting' (?) her was kept busy running them off. They finally flew off, dienchanted with the whole affair. Lady duck watched them go, shook her tail, then at a call from her escort, refocused her attention on him and toddled along following him back down to the lake. I guess she made her choice. :)
They flew of an obviously there was a choice made. The four drakes that is. Here I was surprised to see what was going on as the older gent that was there was explaining to me what was taking place and would have never known :) Very nice story Jules... choices*

ReplyDeleteMerci, there is something to be said for this time of the year Danielle. There is nothing like just taking things in as such. Nature is all to interesting, yet it's all within excusions. I believe nature does teach us something.
