Well I have a cold going on and I have never has the type of sinus draining that has been taking place. It must be the change of climate. Lately it will be sunny within the morning to the afternoon and then around 4pm you have a wet climate. But it shall all work out and drain out . Now should I have said that....:). Yesterday while on the way to the Montreal Botanical Gardens we decided to park the car and grab a bite. While driving south bound on the freeway it was something see see the amount of churches. Amidst all these buildings you would see the tops of these old churches from a distance in hues of green, blue. It`s truly something that only one can appreciate in seeing it for themselves. Yesterday was the first day that I was truly challenged with french. Mind you as a teenager when my father retired I was sent off for one year to a Canadian Academy called Scholar Hall which was taught by priest - predominantly french. That year I came out with honours with my french and I didn't have to write exams within all subjects as I really learned the language well however then when I joined the rest of the family and finished off my high school french was rather easy in comparison. What I am finding is that language is apart of culture. Yesterday I was certainly tested as to communicated with some it was not as easy but slowly it comes but what is of most of importance is the respect in trying. The streets, restaurants, people of this Rosemont district were predominantly french however still there was a language of communication. I have the gift of the gab I find right now as I am wishing to be able to communicate fluently in french with some people I meet - they all are so happy or pleasant here again it`s very hard to describe. Yet it`s very nice and the people are so easy going. We had left after getting a few donuts and coffee from the very last Dunkin Donuts in this unique area and then I saw these two people and I could not resist. They just were happy very content. Mind you they may have ate too many donuts - they smiled. Now imagine an older french gentleman and a younger anglo saxon trying to communicate. Well we did and I capture with his permission a picture of his wife and himself. It was done very fast but yet it really captured the essence of this street yesterday at the time that it was taken.
