Friendship Multiples the Good of Life

and divides evil. this has been some trip. in the short time that i have been here i have seen some things that really amazes me, the culture, the people the buildings and this history behind this place called Quebec. i often thought or i should say that this was a province within canada that at one time there was much division within canada. seeming now it`s a province that has over 400 years of history. I don`t think there is any other place within the americas like this. The flight here was fine and then it`s a very different climate in comparison to western canada yet there is something to be said with regards to Quebec. Culture, culture and more culture. I have seen buildings that are so amazing. in the short period time the people they are very different yet there is commonality. To talk with a few people and right away they can switch to english so fast and so graciously...I really feel like I am in europe. I have to say that as it really is something to me and yes i am easily amused when it comes to cultures...what i find most thus far is how open people are. There is an ease a way that i really don`t know how to explain. how far this has come to days of the past were up to a time there was a large division within canada between Quebec and the rest of the country. probably there would be some with some of the older folk yet i have yet to met one. Soon I will be going to a birthday party for a very respected elderly person. I can`t wait....as well I will be meeting with one person thereafter I will write on that has a vast array of history behind him. I am seeing things from another scope. it`s very difficult to write on it as I could write three logs on this but i literally don't have as much time yet each one you and you know whom you all are I truly have and  am honored to be a friend on here. So i shall try to load up a few pictures on here as i have my small old one and then .......another that over the weekend I will be able to show more. But I felt that this evening here at 8pm I would do a small write and there is a great photography book that had this quote on the back....

``there is no desert like living without friends - friendship multiplies the good of life and divides the evil - it is the soul remedy against misfortune, like fresh air to the soul``   Baltasar Gracian

  6. I love the photo of the window!
I may have said I've visited Canada a few times. There was a major difference between Canada & the U.S. I was mostly impressed by the people, & then the cleanliness of the cities & villages. There was also a charm to it that I've only found in Carmel...hanging baskets & window boxes of flowers, that sort of thing.
Thanks for keeping in touch. I'm pleased this trip is turning out so well for you.

  10. Rashmi, it`s ironic you mention this as for two days straight I caught a infection my lungs came to be so...well we shall leave it at that..the change of weather as ironically it`s cooler here or the sea level here as i was hit with a bug like i never have been within my lungs. And last night i was going to place some on but literally I wished to get rid of this so the lights went out at 9.....yet i have never ate as well as what i have been now. Mind you there is someone within my life that is sweet so I thought I would get a gift of specialized chocolates....pictures shall come this here was one that I had taken the place was right near this lake which I can`t recall the name...the strangest thing if I may add it to once again see real weeping willows. Second to that a marina believe it or not....when your in the west you never see boats like this.

  11. Lynne, I was going over these two large photography books one was titled Friendship the other was Love...when I saw the back of it the night that I was looking it over the quote literally took me.
Quebec and British Colombia in Canada are the two provinces I have never been too. i had been through Quebec and know the history of it well, but i think it`s the second largest city in all of Canada....

I found the quote to be too good to pass up (would quote it again but no on my own computer).....smiles back...

  12. Lucija in the 60s and 70`s I think there were yet western canada is very american....countless times this was talked about as my father was there in the USA on diplomatic status. Affording me to really become a yank...back then and even back then years ago when I returned back into Canada everyone in NY used to say how clean canada is but, i think it all depends on where you are. It all depends on where you are. Saskatoon right now I find to be much cleaner. This is a trip that so many now have been asking me on the phone what my intentions are......i think between now and right before the new month I shall know....

I do wish to keep in touch with everyone as there are some friends on here that literally have been there during very hard times over last year when I returned from a city named Edmonton and literally had a host of situations. So it is going well, cadence is the key and one has to take another person into consideration I mean myself now within my life.....

    Hugs there friend!

I find that the quote and the pictures of this book really reminded me of this song, ``one love``...

  14. all good things take time, they take that compromise, that understanding ......I can say that as time goes on it`s not as easy in comparision to being younger. There have been slight differences now and then but the understanding that they can be surpassed IF THERE IS COMMUNICATION.
I never intended on coming here on a whim....so I think it really is all about having some of your own time as well as keeping something of value alive. I am content that day I took that picture was one day that there were two very happy faces and as well content ones. I loved the picture as it literally looked so european to me. Very different to what I am used too seeing very...
