A Visit to Two Auditoriums

Today was a day that I had wished to do for some times. I have been to both of these two auditoriums, one is a smaller venue that sits up to some 3,000 people and used to be called the Centennial Auditorium. Now it’s called the Teachers Credit Union. There was a group from Toronto that was starting to get set up for a two-day event for a performance geared towards family and children. Thereafter I headed out of town to the major venue that used to be called the Sask Place, where here again it was changed as sponsors have bought the rights and now it’s called the Credit Union Centre. Seemingly everything is now by way of sponsorship and whichever sponsor pays the right price has the rights to renaming the venue. I guess that all goes with major sponsorship rights. If you ask me, I enjoyed it when these venues went by the very first names that they were founded and built upon. However, I was most fortunate to get up on the catwalk of Credit Union Place as it’s now a major auditorium that the class “A” performers come to from all over the world. I will admit that I am not much of one for heights. Yet as soon as I was up there I was in my element. There are a few videos coupled with some pictures as in both venues I was fortunate to have allowance to get in. Ironically I ran out of batteries while I was at the smaller venue called TCU place and fortunately this group that was testing things out while getting the stage all set up came down and gave me a pack.
TCU place has been here for years probably over 30 years while the Credit Union Center was build back twenty some years ago. Both venues are very unique in what they have as performers and performances. Yet I truly enjoyed finally obtaining some pictures from the catwalk within the larger venue. It was a tad cool and with overcast so I opted to see if I could get up at least one place and fortunate for me I was able to get in both. There is nothing like being up there on a catwalk when your there you just hope that you have done it right so that when the next time there is a large performer just maybe you might just have the right person at the right time...

  6. Believe you me literally there were twent five people in this place and with this childrens performance. Yet I only took a few as the mandate with many of these performances is that you don't take pictures while they are within set up - yet I loved this place. It's right within the heart of the city.

  7. Always wanted to get up on this catwalk and only due to it being a non busy Saturday. Yet I never thought of that as all the lights would be out then :). Yet rather neat.

  8. I deleted off one as it was a video showing the effects but was only merely a five second take. Yet when I saw what they were doing with the columns new I had just thirty minutes and so I enjoyed obtaining the best - this is unique - yeah :)
