I went in today and had the extraction looked at and the Dentist indicated that it's healing and it's do you say "growing together" perfectly. Within the back gum area that is. I guess I don't have a great tolerance with this pain.
I mentioned this to him and he said that I would have a tad of pain in my side jaw, as the there was a long time infection that had been in there. There were no prescriptions or anything, he said that I can eat and do everything but to just understand that it will be a couple of more days and the pain will completely subside. So that is all fine and as well I hope that your day was a good one.
So that all said, here is what I ponder - how do older people go through this procedure of having there gums extracted. THAT HAS TO BE SO PAINFUL! I am fortunate and finally I can start eating correctly.
Well, Jack, if you look at the positive side, you should feel pain just for a few more days. It's unfortunate that he couldn't prescribe something to alleviate the pain in the meantime. Oh well! This visit also confirms that nothing wrong is going on in your mouth and it's just a question of time.
ReplyDeleteI had similar surgery done in my mouth some twenty years ago. I don't have any bad recollection of it. I guess I didn't have the pain that you've been enduring since the surgery.
Have a great evening.
Thank goodness all is well---hopefully just a few more days of healing and you'll be pain free!
ReplyDeleteBon appetite! *smile*
PS: Are you point out a "Bigfoot" in that photo? Pssst, didn't you know? They live in Georgia. LOL
Glad to hear things should improve shortly for you. :)
ReplyDeleteYou as well Lise, it's not that bad - when you take your mind of it and I have have some areas that may unfold within this week or the beginning of next. I went to one meeting two days ago and while speaking with the person I explained that I had an extract, well ironically the person had three done at the same time and said that they would never wish to go through it again.
ReplyDeleteA great evening to you as well, I am sure you know the variety of issues that I have had, but I am determined to stay my path.
Haha, oh you kill me GA!
ReplyDeleteYes I shall, and as mentioned with Lise the same applies, but I heard Big Foot or "The Sasquatch" monster, decided to ponder two wards the palms. OR - he may have cousins that reside in a variety of places.
I think one of his cousin's name is George. Hmmm I wonder. :)
Thanks...GA.
They should Terri, I am sorry I did not entirely understand if your writing was fiction or real. I will go back to it but if that was you, you have had your own ordeals and all the best to you. As there is that old saying "Throught all adversity shoot for your stars".
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got it looked at and can rest your mind that it IS ok. I think as we get older, limitations are harder to bear because we have a slight fear that things will not get better. Maybe in a couple weeks you will be ready for a steak dinner.
ReplyDeleteLyn for now, or now...I eat salmon and vegetables, for breakfast it's boiled eggs in a glass. I an not a vegetarian but I think it's going to be a while before steak. I remember this happening before. I stick to salmon and fish and vegetables and that is my own way of "having my own steak and cheesecake" :)
ReplyDeleteBefore for a few days it was water, water, salt water, and loads of a meal replacement called ensure - not my kind of food. But the Halls tasted good!
Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!

Terry, I salute you for what you went through with the inspirational story that you wrote.
ReplyDeleteG'day Jack,
ReplyDeleteNow as an older person you are scaring me, I was hoping to keep my gums at least, lol... Glad to hear you are on the mend , onwards ever onwards my friend
Good news! A good day to you Jack.
ReplyDeleteI remember being in a Dentist chair one year ago Wendy. And while the Dentist left and the assistant was not around I saw the most horrid thing taking place. An elder lady trying to utter sounds of pain while I heard the sound of a mini saw/drill, cutting out her upper gums. The Dentist ended up having to place her under.
ReplyDeleteBut don't be worried :)
Good new and I have one meeting today and then I am heading to the gym to do one thing. Start to indoor swim and then take in the suana. First I have to wait for one call, as it's family and then I am off, if all works out that way.
ReplyDeletesorry just check your post(s) today, hope everything is okay
ReplyDeletemy wisdom teeth is showing, hehehe, hmm does that mean I have to be wiser?:D
anyhow, hope you will have a great time at the gym and sauna
PS: Strange your message wasn't quoted in the reply box:-(
ReplyDeleteGlad that things are starting to heal. I hope the pain goes away soon.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why...
ReplyDeleteNot sure why that happened but the gym was great. I am not pushing it but I enjoyed the thirty minute workout and then stretching and I generally met three people - to me it's a building block. And I hope you had a great day - as I can see that when I get to this it's past the time in which the origininal message was sent.
ReplyDeleteThere is more of a gain now in comparision to what it was...
