There was a time in my earlier days where I had an idea I was in the eleventh grade and there was a time in that this band that “we” started and called Syracuse took off. I loved the area of rehearsals and getting everything set up. To me it was about something I love which was music. We had something in which we didn’t know where it was going to go to and then when we were invited to play for different schools and as well for auditoriums. We knew something really special was happening. We were a blend of several things and we always had a limo take us to each and every what we saw as concerts. The best memory of back at that time was playing in an auditorium – which I don’t have a picture of here. And we had everyone standing. As we didn’t just stand there we were a rather cool band and we even later on had our clothing made for us.
One of my fondest memories is when I would get on the microphone and ask everyone how they were doing. Or when you would go to one end of the stage and you would have people just in synch with you in a way that one would never know unless they were up on stage.
Those days are gone. Later on while I went to my last two years of university the band still played two times a year. We never would touch a bar as we knew that was not the place for what we wished to do, but I did play in several clubs as a Disc Jockey and these were really exciting clubs.
Thereafter, I came to be fond of some of the older music, I still love some of those old songs, but I find that I would love to be back in a studio of some kind as I experienced before and just do one or two songs.
Some people I guess have listened to some of the audios on here and the voice is my own. And there are a few others in which it’s with one other person that owned a studio.
So I love music, everyone can sing. I recall in the fourth grade in New York my teacher in music telling me that without music or sound there would not be life. That stayed with me.

I have always been a fan of Classical Music . I listen Bach and Mozart alot . Although , I don't know a whole lot about them . I do love how they performed with their music . To me , I rather listen to that than the music young kids listen to these days . That's just me .
ReplyDeleteI love Nat, Frank, and some of the R & B that was out there and is out there.......so many I can't list them all, but then again, I love several areas of music. Lyrics are something that I think are interesting but as well the melody of the song. But for now, it's something to do for interests sake.
ReplyDeleteAh the good old days - Memories... Not that you are old..For the first time in ages I have some music playing. It certainly has made a difference to how I am seeing the day.
ReplyDeleteI'm a shower singer and might I say I sound beautiful to myself but others beg to differ..:)
Have a melodious weekend there Jack....
Agree.
ReplyDeleteWhy not Denise I saw that some are seeing that there is some music within here as well there are my own videos. I see it the same way.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't have sound on this computer but I would say the same to you Denise, if I had it - as you as well my friend, to you all the same.
Mati there wouldn't be. El sonido tiene algo de algún método. Dentro de este mundo, estamos mucho mejor escuchar la música que los sonidos de las armas.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had some wonderful experiences.
ReplyDeleteI love music; It's so expressive.
Unconditional Love!
I love heart beating sound, so peaceful.
ReplyDeleteOh in my youth very much so, as we age, most of us give up all that we desire. I know that many of my friends have done this where as I like to retain a small portion of what I did, and will continue to do, and they were the very enjoyable times. But in an manner as "unconditional love" one has to ask themselves where they wish to take things into the future, in a realistic manner.
ReplyDeleteYo Se - I know you do :)
ReplyDeleterealistic, fantastic manner... where do you wish to take them? Which things? WHEN?
ReplyDeleteMusic entertains, heals, harmonizes, seduces, calms, energizes, it all depends on the moment and choice of music and I guess if it can do all of this an more we may say it is a living entity and between you and me, if we can`t say it is a living entity, let`s simply say it is certainly part of life. It is good you have continued to keep music in your life, it is a very good way of expressing yourself, and a good way to reach others for music is universal. Good night to you Jack.
ReplyDeleteWhat would the world be without music..I LOVE music and the world would be dull without any kind of music...I,myself, love Old School Music,,,Diana Ross the Supremes, Temptations, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, I love me some Nat King Cole, Etta James, Miles Davis, Wynton Marsalsis..and I could go on and on...You had alot of experience with music as a child..I sung in the church choir and we had a community choir growing up and I sung in that..I love singing even though I dont have the best voice but I love singing and I love dancing. I still sing in our church choir..and I love it...I love me some music..Love the 70's through 90's songs and some songs now...
ReplyDeleteLove the Blog Jack! U ROCK!(((((huuuggsss)))
This is the same Jack I knew from Y360...a music lover, a musician and a singer.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend my dear friend.........hugsssss
Jack, you have such a fantastic experience that surely will never fade. I am so thankful I am able to hear, sense songs and music.I have no idea what would my life be without it. I didn't know you were a singer, I hope your passion on music and songs will stay with you forever.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend Jack
Cyn when I was in NYC living I wished I had gone to this one church in particular to "feel" the gospel singing event. I have never seen that were all are dressed in a robe and sing together that to me would be probably one of the most inpirational experiences. Miles Davis was great. And I as you love the music from the 70's and 90's but there are the songs that one loves to sing and what they mean and then there is the funcky stuff - Midnight Star.
ReplyDeleteAnd as well before Chaka Chan used to have some band I recall as my older brother was into this whole scene during that time. "Tell me Something Good" by Rufus.
Thanks and the same to you Lettie, just woke up here and am having a coffee and reading and I hope the return to Thialand was good. And that all is going well which I am sure it is. Big hugs back to you dear friend.
ReplyDeleteA great weekend to you as well. Everyone sings. Everyone can sing. I am not anything but the same person that dwells in the shower and sings a tune probably just like you.
ReplyDeleteMusic heals, music creates fond things within the heart/soul, music is something that is special to each person in some manner. And if you have the chance in one life time to do some of the things that you love. Do them.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your former teacher. There wouldn't be life without music. I'm a music lover too and I owe that love of music to my mom. She always had music on in the house and loved to sing along as well..
ReplyDeleteI love a wide range of different music, classical, jazz, blues, pop. What I listen to on any given day depends a lot on my mood and what I'm doing at the time. Soft and slow music when I'm reading, background music when I have guests, loud and rythmic music when I'm alone or those old romantic songs.
My gosh hello and yes I believe she was right. Welcome and hi! This is a surprise seeing you. But a very good one!
