Monday

Well this tooth is still doing it's thing. I am doing all the things that one should do for an extraction and I have never had it where pain comes and goes as this one does but hopefully shortly it will pass.

I talked to a good friend of mine and as well I had pre occupied myself earlier in the day, but I know that I have to just take some time and relax and allow the pain to subside. Again it's been something that has been hitting hard and it is really taxing.

So I am eating in a manner that is suitable and not eating heavy foods nor talking too much. I spent some time on the phone with this good old friend of mine, and there after I knew that it was time to just keep my mouth shut! So I am just sucking on lozenges and allowing this time for patience. So I have five different types of lozenges as well as I am sipping on water and I just finished watering plants and a shrub. And when I turn on that Television all I see is Politics...I have to be honest with you I am really tired of seeing it all. So I just do other things. And hopefully all things will work out for the best and maybe just maybe tomorrow the jaw pain will be over. I feel like wearing a wash cloth on my face, lol.

I am not sure about you but I am not a fan of Monday's but I certainly look forward to the rest of the week.

  1. Sorry to hear you are still in so much pain. I know when I had my wisdom teeth taken out, it was horrible pain for several days and just eating things I could swallow without chewing. I got a dry socket. The blood clot in the bottom of the hole broke away and the air hitting the nerve was what was so painful. The dentist packed it with a medicated cloth and it got better after a few days. If it is still hurting you as much or more than when it was first done, call the dentist to have it looked at. It may have a dry socket or some food lodged down in there. Just some "been there" advise if you choose to consider it. Feel better.

  2. It will leave....I just think that it's the jaw and the Dentist said this will be the case, and then thereafter there may be a small pain for a few weeks. But today this hit but I just preoccupy myself. So tomorrow, if may be completely gone - :) wishful thinking of maybe it may.

  3. lc, you and I have a similar story. Unfortunately hangin in there while it's healin is very tough some days. But as lc advised, if too many days go by and you dont notice a considerable diminish in pain, then yes, call your dentist.
Have yourself the best evenin possible ~

  4. Thanks seeming your right and I think that this will subside slowly, but I did not think that it would peak up and hit me the way it did, but I am just doing it all as said. And the worst case scenario I will. Right now it's just something you want to place on a wrap around your face, but I think that just doing something and not letting it get you down and all is the best thing. 99% of everything is perspective - even when you can't chew gum! :)

  6. I'm sorry to hear you are still in pain since your tooth extraction. It may be a good idea to call the dentist, explain your situation and get his opinion. He may recommend something that would relieve the pain better than the Hall's can. Just my two cents. Haope tomorrow will be a better day for you.

  7. Hi Jack. Hang in there, as days go by so will the pain. Tomorrow is another day and it may bring good things to think about and look forward to. Keep the good spirit and the wet face cloth is not a bad idea, as cold as you can stand. It is soothing.

  8. Oh no....so sorry. There is nothing worse than a tooth problem/ache. I will wish you a very fast recovery.....did they recommend gargling with warm, salt water?

  9. Just be wary of developing "Dry Socket" after that extraction!!! Had a friend who experienced that and she was in terrible pain.

  12. ;)

You share something common with, Rez, Jack. We pulled out one tooth two weeks ago, it went almost painless. Now he got another tooh that is bothering him weeks - just now (Tuesday Evening KL time) he told that it was ready to be pull out - I tried; but I can feel there is still one section hanging tight to his gum. After two more tries, and more auuuuch from him - we are leaving it alone for now. May in few days. There - now you have company I hope you feel better, Jack ;)

I'm just kidding you .. well partly.

**smiles** and **good wishes** your way, Jack.

  14. I called and tomorrow I see him in the afternoon. So this is good. I know halls and so on are not the answer. And today I knew that I had to set up some time and I have several things going on that ------- well they can wait. And as long a duration as this has taken, Lise, I just wish to have it looked at as it's a natural thing to do so after one week thereafter. So my mind is off it but it does come like you would not believe. So we shall see. I swear I have not had so many things go wrong within one year since I moved here but I accept it. Yet work my ....off to get it fixed.
    Not complaining just venting!

  16. Done that as well not kidding - so worst case scenario I may have a dry socket or I may not. I am going in tomorrow just to get a check up on the tooth. And then one knows. I am not going to let this sit, while things go by. Not this time. Thank you Danielle, you know it's funny as right after a meal that is small - yet now 11 days after with all things takin into account and as well carried out.
