What would be your priorities? Each person has their own view on leadership and issues, it could be a small church, it could be a large company. There are a variety of ways in which leaders do lead.
If you were in that position, and some may have been or are, regardless we all do lead in some manner. But really within a small write or as long as you desire what how would you go about it?
I was asked with Cyn that same very question. And I thought that the answers that she was getting were most interesting. So Cyn, I hope you don't mind as I would like to ask the same question you posed to me and others.

I would most definitely stop sending our job across to other countries..

Healthcare for everyone..whether it be free or make it affordable for each family!
Make sure each child has an opportunity to go college and reform the education system ..

ReplyDeletePolitics cannot begin to put the connecting tissue back in society. It is ill-equipped to reconstruct traditional moral beliefs. The best policies cannot recover courtship or marriage, make fathers responsible for their children, restore shock or shame where it once existed, End corruption. The vast majority of moral problems that trouble us cannot be eradicated by politics.
So where would I start if I wanted to be a good leader. My first priority would be that my own house was in clean order so that I could not be accused of working for myself.
And Lead by example--that I bring no shame to my office. I think if someone can't honor the position they are in--they should be fired,
Since there are powerful, hidden forces working against even the best human efforts at rulership. I would not be catering to my enemies but more for my allies. United is always better,
I would (unlike America bickering) announce a National language. The reason being-""-and this is history"" one unites two always divides . (Even in countries where they use many there is a division between the people. And that would be a requirement for citizenship. There is also a safety factor there. I had a hard time once explaining to a US postal truck there was a child under his truck.
I would do all in my power to assist people to find the greatest happiness then and in the future. I would look for all future affects (such as environmental (biggie for me). (I'm afraid people will want more now--so I might not be a popular leader)
I would try to find a way to support the important things--National Heath as I feel this is a basic for life. And should not be ignored.
Here in the USA we have people dying for lack of health care--you can put the blame where ever you like--but if dogs in the street were dying like many of the people are--there would be public outcry.
Education is important and I would ask more from the Educational System than is given now. And I would make less of the demands we put upon them that go nowhere.(that is a page in itself)
And people do need education on basics living skills too .I would make sure that is part of it
I would make sure of voting for all those in all branches of office are done by the people-- rather it be done by tax or whatever--this would take the power of campaigning out of lobbyists and rich corporate hands.
I would work on available mass transportation as best I can, Simple living, I would pay and use armies (yes I would keep armies--maybe even draft) to be sure laws were enforced to protect the innocence. And -That the justice system is working properly.
I think I would have people who monitor all agencies to double-check that everything is above board. Like a good business--all records of spending would be available for the people to inspect. And if it don't balance there better be a good reason
Even raises in office will come by a vote of the people. (I can not believe our Congress and Senate vote for their own raises. Wish I could do that on the job.
Growth will always be so I would want more control and order to that. I would rather see old areas rebuilt that new raped --so maybe some laws there. Clean good growth that doesn't intrude on the environment much.
Any aid given to other counties --I would want an accounting for.
I would cap some prices.
I would want to see fair taxation
I would like to get back to the tradition family--where with just one working they could affort the basics of a family.
Sigh-- I guess I could go on and on--let's face it I would be assassinated first term
Helping the homeless people and elders, heath care system and help people find jobs which pay a decent salary. Re-educate people who have lost their jobs so they learn new skills, good education for all. Work towards peace. Good day to you Jack.
