Infection Reflection

Well I have two days off, I didnt realize that I was putting up with some pain and yesterday I ended up going in and seeing what was wrong and it ended up that I have an inner ear infection, coupled with a gum infection. Late yesterday afternoon, I started to feel a vertigo and then I could barely open my jaw - so I am on antibiotics and a new pain killer that fixes a lock jaw and then it's back to work on Wednesday.     Went into see my own doctor as he is only open during the weekdays and he increased the pain medication as he said it would help getting some leverage on things while the antibiotic kills of the infection

But one thing if I may say - I do brush! The teeth that is. So two days of rest and relaxation, and waiting for a parcel to arrive from UPS.

Now if I was in a warmer climate I know what I would do, but as I am in a colder on this time of year - I guess I will just pace the floors.

  1. Sorry to hear that you have an ear infection. They can be miserable. My daughter just got over the flu, with a double ear infection, and on top of that, pinkeye! Hope you're feeling better!

  5. I am ironically Koohasaneh, I have a partial tmj, today as mentioned I went to my doc and I am off from work till Wednesday, but it all came about from an infection. So for most of the day I just slept and sweat it out.
My this is different with how we communicate. I really appreciate the words as I am just reading this and I know that there are decent people out there. Thank you Jo, Mati, Koohsaneh, Norma, Cathy and everyone.

Slides over to the side and places his chin on his hand and thinks these are very decent people, yeah

  7. G'day Jack
Ouch, ouch it appears you have landed a hat trick there, maybe it is a good thing that it is cold, you need rest to let it all heal, not gallivanting around in the sunshine, A speedy recovery is wished from my side of the pond

  8. I am swell Wendy, I am enjoying this as I sleep most of the day and then I really get into the writing. By the way I am petrified of insects as well as you wrote on your blog. I ponder why we say "the pond" who came up with that idea or term? Thinking Thinking.

  9. Gday again,
most insects don't worry me but "spiders" are the exception, my mother was terrified of them & she taught me well, lol.. As for the pond thing, the first time I ever heard it referred to in that way was from you, so I assumed it was a common reference from your side so to speak

  11. Hope those antibiotics kicked in quickly and you are feeling better Jack.

I've had the common cold for ten days now and I would much rather be unwell in the colder weather than warmer. It's nice to curl up and keep warm while recovering.

I knew what you meant when you said "I do brush" What else could it have been but teeth? Hair!!! :)

  12. Jack and Wendy.
The first time I also heard the term "Across the pond" was from the same person :)
I'd never heard it before then and thought Jack lived by a big pond but soon worked it out was was meant. Me..... duh!!!

  13. G'day Dee,/Jack
great minds, the first time Jack said it to me I also thought the same thing, & Jack I didn't mean to infer that you were the original inventer of that expression, all I meant was you were the first one I had heard it from...

  14. Well there was a pond that I used to frequent in my youth and then I would make all these places out of sand and one was in further reach ............maybe so say's I! G'day Denise - and thanks regarding the meds, day two and then back at it.
Wendy you did certainly so! My god one gets to sleep on this side and then "from the other side of the pond" things do happen! But you know whot (accent in place what = whot), Skippy was doing his thing in the snow last night. And that large wrabbit could have killed someone the way he was acting!

  15. G'day Jack,
Coffee in hand, still ½ asleep & not sure about your reference to Skippy, but be assured he wasn't acting it would have been for real, but like most Aussies, he is full of hot air & bluff, you sure you didn't take one too many meds (grin)
