~ Within the Dance ~

We await the dance, you and I
Anonymous in a crowd
On the dance floor
Oblivious to those around them
All searching for a spark of shared passion

The music begins and I reach for you
Behind your veil of shadowed mystery
The Latin rhythm permeates within your eyes
And within that sway of one of a kind

Hypnotized by the promise in your eyes
A promise of mischief . . . and more
My arms embrace as your touch burns my soul
Igniting soul felt feelings

The hot Latin beat echoes our pounding hearts
And raises the temperature in our veins
Vision blurs and life becomes the dance
The world disappears, there is only the dance,
Undulating rhythm, swaying hips, and you

No memory of the drive home,
The hastily removed clothing or words spoken,
Only the dance, the throb of the beat in our blood
The intoxicating promise in your eyes

Passions raging beyond reason
With shameless and wanton ferocity
You devour me and all that exists
I cry out in passionate fulfillment
And peace finally comes

The Opening of the .....

Secret Recordings by John F. Kennedy...

Fifty years later after the Cuban Missile Crisis, the national Archives have pulled together documents and secret White House recordings to show how President John F. Kennedy deliberated with advisers to avert nuclear war.

This Friday a new exhibit, “To the Brink: JFK and the Cuban Missile Crisis,” opens illustrating the showdown which took place with the Soviet Union. While the recordings have been available to researchers for yeas this is the firs public showcase of Kennedy’s recordings to replay the manner in which he handled a very tense time within history.

In the fall of 1962, Soviet leader Premier Khrushchev ordered a secret deployment of nuclear missiles to Cuba that was soon detected by United States Spy planes. On October 16th Kennedy was briefed on the photographic proof of the missiles sits being developed. U.S. officials determined from the sixe of the images that the medium ranged missiles would be capable to reach Washington, Dallas, Cape Canaveral, Florida and any other areas within a proximity of 1,000 miles of Cuba – the time frame was within minutes. Soon after it was then learned that there were an array of longer range missiles that could reach any part of United States – as well as Canada as the two were seen as one country by the Khrushchev.

What is so significant is these archives now available to the public illustrate the standoff which took place over 13 days. As well, it was a time which gives proof of a time which was the most dangerous time in history where we came to nuclear destruction.

As Kennedy leaned toward a blockade order to prevent Soviet ships from sending more military supplies to Cuba, some military advisers though it was a weak response. Within the archives there are the sounds of heated debates within the Whitehouse.

This exhibit will travel to various cities first Washington and there after in Boston.

Pictures from Returning

A few simple pictures taken yesterday morning.
As well some additional ones. :)

Positive Intentions

Thus far the returning to the city has been tremendous. Its funny how when you have achieved a goal and have turned it around to be something of worth. I never realized how much I have missed this place and every day has been good mind you we are approaching that time where it’s winter yet that is fine with me as well.

I have had more laughs with some new friends as well as those coincidental times where you run into people that I had not seen in years. There is something to be said for that. I had met my doctor yesterday and I can say I am very proud in what I achieved medically. Perhaps we don’t find the path yet the pathway within life comes within our direction when we don’t focus so much on what must be done.

One thing does lead into another seemingly I have found that placement and there certainly many things to do yet it’s not within that obligatory or I must get this all done at once. What was is what was and what is now is not within a reflection of trying to be anything more than my own self.

I was having lunch today with a new friend and we always have some perspective on things coupled with jokes regarding a variety of areas. What I do look forward to very much is in getting my mainframe and new desktop set up yet nothing is done within that “I must get this all done now”.  The manner that I see it is within the simple enjoyments of meeting up with people.

I do have an open agenda – yet with there is something to be said to have a routine as everyone does thrive on a routine as I see it. It creates the balance within life. One takes the good with the bad and focuses on the good outcomes within the day.

There are so many areas which I do look forward to sharing as time does allow. The most important thing which I do enjoy right now is getting used to a city which has grown by 20,000 thousand people within one year.

Getting Replanted

It's been hectic to say the least unpacking. I shall keep this rather short. But it has been a great feel to return here as many of you know I have not been on the internet for some time. As well, I was in a small town for a period of time but now have accomplished the largest health chapter within my life. It's something to have not been on here for sometime - yet with cadence I shall come back on more. I am sure that most of you know what unpacking can be like but today I had the chance to catch up with two good friends and although my camera is packed away there is nothing like seeing the colors at this time ot the year.

Periodically I shall be on but within this week I do have several things to do yet I can tell you that I am truly happy to be back here. I had hoped to be back here in the city two months ago and it's truly a blessing that finally I am back.

I do look forward to getting back on here. Things shall all come into place pertaining to the transition to another blog. I was not sure I would make the date yet. I shall. On a Sunday eve with a true smile to the good friends. I am tremendously pleased how things for myself have worked out.

Sincerely,

Jack
